An Avowed Socialist is a Viable Candidate for President of the United States
Let that headline sink in for a moment. I know what you’re thinking: Senator Sanders doesn’t have a chance. Before you get too much solace from that denial ridden and self-comforting thought, you’re missing the point. Put aside your desire to soothe your jagged nerves and consider that for the FIRST TIME in American history, an avowed socialist is a VIABLE candidate for President of the United States.
How did we get here? Well, to begin with, Baby Boomers are no longer the largest demographic group in America. Baby Boomers began their adult lives as the love children, drug addled 60s generation. At least 40% of Baby Boomers lean left. But the real story is to be found in their children and grand children, i.e., the Millennial and Generation Y demographics.

For the first time in American history, a closet communist is occupying our White House and acting as Chief Executive and Community-Organizer-in-Chief. It's no surprise that youngsters who don't remember politics before that terrible day when electoral fraud put the bigot in power think socialism might work eventually. Our world has changed, and the change is not an improvement.
While I don’t think the situation is quite as dire as the author seems to believe, the fact that an admitted socialist — in reality, nothing more than a soft-sell communist — can comfortably stand as a candidate for president of the United States means we have lost our identity as a free-market meritocracy. Succeeding generations had better prepare themselves for Maduro-esque privation and the traditional upheaval that inevitably follows increasing socialism-ization.

50-years of public school indoctrination has finally bubbled to the surface. They’ve been at it for a very long time.
I blame the intense interest and approval of socialism by our youth in America on the public school system and the many , many liberal colleges and universities who have made it their business to indoctrinate and propagandize these very malleable young minds of mush .

Another big factor is the demographic change.

It just goes to show how far left the Democrats have gone. In the old days, George McGovern could only carry one state. Now days, he would be a centerist in their party. Johnson started this with his lunatic policies and it has only gotten worse.
Free Trade and de industrialization will do that. No shock here. I've been expecting this.
It is not just there. It is in programming and advertising also. If you pay attention to the subtle and not so subtle propaganda in these venues, you will realize that it has been pushed on all of us for very long time.
I agree with you 100%, and often wonder at how relatively few people seem to notice. It's unrelenting, and everywhere. Everything the Left controls, it politicizes and it's not even subtle anymore throughout the popular culture.

For example ,, I used to love watching the show “Law and Order” and I began to see a lot of agenda driven leftist messages being inserted in their script ,, bye bye I said . It’s everywhere now days and when it’s applied to the very young I believe it’s child abuse and Nazism at it’s very best . Generations are now screwed up with this socialist mind bending crap .
Pay attention to some of the seemingly innocuous adds too. There is an agenda hidden in much of what is thrown at us.

At least he’s honest about what he is, unlike the rest of the Rat party, and much of the GOPe.
Socialism is socialism, regardless of what its promoters choose to call it.
