Why? Why have you tried to avoid confrontation with the school authorities when they are so obviously wrong? I never did; my parents backed me up (when they thought I was right). We made the school back down, at those times.
When I was a parent, I did the same for my kids.
If you wish to avoid confrontation, homeschool.
