Rush has got Fakebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, the agent provocateur of the social media on the run

Last time it was a hot open mic that caught Obama obsequious Mark Zuckerberg taking on the role of social media saboteur at the request of cunning German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

“German Chancellor Angela Merkel was overheard confronting Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg over incendiary posts on the social network, Bloomberg reported on Sunday, amid complaints from her government about anti-immigrant posts in the midst of Europe’s refugee crisis. (CNBC, Sept. 27, 2015)

It’s a great place for making liberals foam at the mouth and scream obscenities.

I have a lefty friend and once in while I pop onto her page and throw out some facts disproving her latest fantasy. Oh, the fireworks. She and I are very civil with each other. But her liberal friends go nucking futs. Apparently I am an evil creature who should not be allowed to associate with other, more superior humans. Or just killed.

Liberals do two things. Make up “facts” out of whole cloth and spew nasty personal insults. Some of her friends have complained that she lets me post my point of view.

Sadly, even pissing them off gets boring, so I find myself doing it less and less.

Based on your tag line can I ask: Were you a hippie? Are you a reformed hippie?

In Jan a liberal friend spammed an email to me, I replied that I’d love to see a Cruz/Trump ticket. He blew a gasket and I never heard from him.

so, is that what you use FB for?

BarbM, I’m not sure if you were being sarcastic.
Here’s why conservatives and our free republic should care about FB’s influence:
Facebook is the news article source for the majority under 30 kids.
It has an unabashed left socialist NWO slant.
They collaborate with Obola and dems to censor conservative news.
Both FB and Google are involved in a Truthiness initiative to rank and filter what news is “true”, and what should be supressed in news topic search rankings.
Both FB and Google provide member data* with All Federal agencies as part of Obola’s Behavioral Health citizen database 09/15/2015 Executive order. (*All search history, online interest preferences, social media postings, and social affiliations)

Facebook, Google, and other tech communication companies are All sharing and selling Everything about us.
And users have actually encouraged this 1984 dystopia.
Government digests this data and labels citizen threat accordingly, without being held accountable for inaccuracies and violating our fourth, fifth and first ammendment rights.

That’s why This is a Big deal.

I have one. She posted something about religion and the Constitution. I spoke up and said that was not in the U.S. constitution but in a letter. You know, it was funny because no one else posted. We had the same teachers in our small high school and she knew that too but had to get a liberal view in. Bless her heart but guess Boulder got to her over the years.

Good in you. I’m not sure why more conservatives aren’t in Facebook. It is an EXCELLENT way to propagate the conservative message. Those who ignore it or shun it are missing an excellent tool

I was only a "hippie" in the long hair & chemical recreation sense. Not politically. Nothing to reform, except youth. Put myself through college & got married a couple of years after getting BA.

FB: I have a list of friends that see only 2A related posts. It's opt in, so we are all of like minds, sharing related info. And some right wing political posts.

Otherwise, just follow a little of some high school classmates and the progress of nieces and nephews and the like. No one cares much what I post unless it's pictures of the (world's greatest) Grandogs. And they are very photogenic. :-)

I use FB to keep up with friends from many decades ago and with relatives. It seems to be the best way to keep in touch. They lead busy lives and can make one post go to hundreds if they have that many. If they are having health problems, it makes it easier on them to update people. New babies are welcomed news as are adoptions. A friend posted about the deaths of 2 people. We went to school with them. Am afraid that number will only increase since I am 72. There were 49 in my graduating class and about 6 or so are gone. The first one was killed in Vietnam. We all still have precious memories of growing up in the 50’s though.

“What is FACE BOOK and why would I care?”

It’s just the #1 news source for Americans under 45, that’s all.

And it is the ONLY news source for a large percentage of those.

Yeah, why should you care how a few are manipulating the only news source for tens of millions of voters.

Yesterday thousands of annoyed conservatives directly responded to Romney’s comments on his FB page. It’ was an outlet to express their opinion.

Re: ‘Why should I care?”....etc.

____

You’re right. It has been reported that 70% of people get their news from links on the site. So, it should be of concern that its lefty owner has decided to use the site for social manipulation. Not surprising, certainly. It is probably a violation of consumer protection laws, as they claim to use an algorithm to make their news story rankings, but in reality are guided by political considerations.

I’ve never joined, never will, but to ignore the mass appeal and power of such sites is naive. Facebook, Google, and Yahoo will go hard to influence the upcoming election. Remember some of the people present at the infamous “Stop Trump” meeting—co-founder of google, Facebook inventor Sean Parker, Apple CEO, Karl Rove, etc. etc. etc.

It is a social media outlet that is much bigger than Free Republic. Moreover, it is one of the two favorites (Facebook and Twitter) of the younger generations.

If they are a major propaganda arm of the left worldwide, rather than an “honest broker” of the communications industry, then all of us should care, whether we use it or not.

I’d say it is noteworthy that even the conservatives in Congress are abandoning their old-fogey notions and are investigating this new phenomenon’s desire to move the world to the leftist ideology.

Save for later

Leaked documents show how Facebook, now the biggest news distributor on the planet, relies on old-fashioned news values on top of its algorithms to determine what the hottest stories will be for the 1 billion people who visit the social network every day.

The documents, given to the Guardian, come amid growing concerns over how Facebook decides what is news for its users. This week the company was accused of an editorial bias against conservative news organizations, prompting calls for a congressional inquiry from the US Senate commerce committee chair...

Oh, when I mentioned that private dinner party back on February 17, 2011 hosted by President Obama (along with his closest adviser Valerie Jarrett) that included the CEO's of Apple, Cisco Systems, Facebook, Google, Netflix, Oracle, Twitter and Yahoo! on several places online, people on the Left literally "blew their gasket" because they may have realized that the censorship of the Right on the Internet may have Presidential sanction....

You Tube messes with the number of views and like/dislikes, too. It’s based on liberalism’s whim.

However, in You Tube’s case, they are cheating people out of ad money when they do this because channels get paid based on the number of views.
