Corporal Klinger is now SOP in the US Military

In the hit 1970’s comedy, MASH, Corporal Max Klinger was a street savvy enlisted man from Toledo, Ohio, who had one goal; to return home in one piece with a Section 8 Psycho Discharge, courtesy of Army psychiatrists.

Klinger’s modus operandi was to pose as a woman, outfitted in the latest 1950’s fashions he had purchased from the Spiegel Catalog.

Klinger was not really transgender or transsexual, he was just a guy who wanted OUT, out of the Army. The hilarity ensued as he came up with scheme after scheme to escape the lean green machine with a Section 8, psycho discharge that evaded him throughout the whole Korean War.

See, humble reader, in those days and up to the election of President Obama a guy who wanted to wear dresses, while serving in the Army, had a one way ticket to a psycho discharge.

But, those days are fading fast like the last frame of a John Ford western.

Here is a summary of events that have occurred since last May, and the charge to allow transgenders to serve, led by who else, but Obama’s willing destroyer of the military, Ash Carter.

The Army announced last May that any decision to discharge transgender soldiers had to be made by the assistant secretary of the Army for personnel.

Last year, the Army, for the first time, agreed to allow hormone treatment for Chelsea Manning, a transgender soldier convicted of divulging national security secrets to WikiLeaks. Manning, previously known as Bradley, is serving a 35-year sentence at the Fort Leavenworth, Kan., military prison. In December of 2014, Air Force Secretary Deborah James said the ban on transgender troops should be lifted.

In July of 2015 it was announced that a plan was in motion at the Pentagon to lift the longstanding prohibition on allowing transgender men and women to serve openly in the military.

Secretary of Defense Ash Carter announced last summer that the individual services would have six months to prepare for the policy change.

“The Defense Department’s current regulations regarding transgender service members are outdated and are causing uncertainty that distracts commanders from our core missions,” Carter said in a statement.

Previously and under Defense Department regulations, transgender individuals were considered medically unfit for service and could be separated honorably if diagnosed with “psychosexual conditions, including but not limited to transsexualism, exhibitionism, transvestism, voyeurism, and other paraphilias,” according to Defense Department Instruction 6130.03.

A month later in August of 2015, Carter announced that the Pentagon’s ban on transgender troops would end May 27 under a draft timeline on repeal of the policy.

The memo, circulated among top personnel and medical officials, lays out the road map for ending the policy and highlights some of the potential issues, including a pilot program that would provide leaves of absences for transgender troops being treated with hormones or having surgery.

And, there we have it. The Pentagon, under the leadership of social engineer extraordinaire Ash Carter has green-lighted the official implementation of a policy that allows transgenders to serve in the Armed Forces of the United States of America.

Transgender people are defined as people who experience a mismatch between their gender identity or gender expression, and their assigned sex.[1][2][3] Transgender people are sometimes called transsexual if they desire medical assistance to transition from one sex to another. Transgender is also an umbrella term: in addition to including people whose gender identity is the opposite of their assigned sex (trans men and trans women), it may include people who are not exclusively masculine or feminine (people who are genderqueer, e.g. bigender, pangender, genderfluid, or agender).[2][4][5] Other definitions of transgender also include people who belong to a third gender as transgender, or conceptualize transgender people as a third gender,[6][7] Rarely, the term transgender is defined very broadly to include cross-dressers.[8

Dr. Paul R. McHugh, the former psychiatrist-in-chief for Johns Hopkins Hospital and its current Distinguished Service Professor of Psychiatry, said that transgenderism is a “mental disorder” that merits treatment, that sex change is “biologically impossible,” and that people who promote sexual reassignment surgery are collaborating with and promoting a mental disorder.

Why, in God’s name is the Pentagon allowing people who are mentally unstable to serve in its ranks?

The answer lies in the fact that the US Military is suffering from a mental disorder itself; cognitive dissonance.

The US Military under Obama is becoming an endless episode of Monty Python’s Flying Circus.

Hey, Sarge, where’s Smith?

He’s feeling female today. He’s using the women’s shower.

We’ve got a whole busload of pangender recruits coming in at 1400. Get ‘em suited and booted by COB.

The colonel wishes to be addressed as ma’am on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and sir on Tuesday and Thursday.

Check it out; our new platoon leader is wearing a combination of male and female uniforms. The LT must be expressing both of its genders today.

What could possibly go wrong?

This is just one more nail in the coffin of the US Military, a coffin that is about to be sealed and buried at sea for posterity.

Of course you haven’t heard one iota of disagreement from the rubber men of Arlington about this lunacy.

The rubber men of Arlington are symbols of a society that has let political correctness and leftist insanity run roughshod over this great country and its once spectacular military.

Upside down, Woodstock values from a 1960’s freak show have become the common, everyday beliefs of more than half of this country.

After years of fighting off the left and the feminists and the crazies who sought to impart their warped philosophies on the military, the military has finally given in.

A perfect storm is brewing in the US armed forces: spineless senior leadership, out of control feminists, budgetary and equipment shortfalls and a commander in chief who acts like the president of a Third World country are setting up the US military for its destruction.

God willing and the river don’t rise and a President Trump or Cruz is inaugurated in January of 2017, the President must begin their first term, by firing the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of the Army, the Navy, the Air Force and every admiral and general all the way down to two star level.

If that doesn’t clean up the military’s act, the President can keep going down the ranks until the lot of ass kissers and moral cowards are terminated and put out to pasture to spend their golden years at the local public golf course.

It is the enlisted men and women who must bear the burden of these idiotic social engineering policies that put them and this nation in mortal danger.

Allowing transgenders to serve in the ranks is not only dangerous, but detrimental to morale.

The men and women who join the US military are the salt of the earth, the finest people this nation produces. They deserve better than to serve in what has become a three ring circus hosted by cultural Marxists and cowards.

M*A*S*H, episode 7-17, Inga.

Klinger: “To tell you the truth, I don’t belong here. If two doctors will sign a form, I’ll be able to go home. And so far, I’ve got all but both of them.”

Inga: “You know, I may be able to help you.”

Klinger: “Oh, you can? You mean it?”

Inga: “Yeah, well, I have a colleague in Copenhagen who does sex-change operations.”

Klinger: “Yeah? What’s that?”

Inga: “Well, you would finally be transformed into a woman. It’s very sophisticated surgery, but, uh, it’s possible.”

Klinger: “You mean, somebody– You mean, take a knife and– and–“

Inga: “Yeah.”

Klinger: “They’re crazier than I am!”

The guy tarnishes the excellent points he makes when he states: "Woodstock values from a 1960’s freak show."

Many of us served in the military not too many years after Woodstock, which was more about a bunch of kids going off and listening to music and partying.

There is a lot wrong with the transition of power from the greatest generation to the baby boomers of the upper half, e.g. the Clintons and the Bushes, because the greatest generation forgot that they needed to select, train and groom their successors.

Too much of the reaction against the 60's culture drove that culture and was based in the most flawed and ineptly fought war in this country's history - Vietnam. Fighting communism was fine, but we fought to defend those who were defending French colonialism. It was a no win situation, in which we extracted the worst loss possible.

There is a lot wrong with America, but it isn't "woodstock values from a 1960's freakshow."

That is not a woodstock freak show. That is Ash Carter and his boss Obama.

My favorite was when he tried eating a Jeep.

His fundamental problem was that not wanting to be there, heck not even wanting to be a conscript in the Army, were both very reasonable, very sane viewpoints. The woman thing and all his other dodges were just wild expressions of what were otherwise very normal feelings. In fact he showed great creativity, intelligence, and commitment (though maybe poor judgement and/or Wile E. Coyote level optimism that this time it would work).

Now today, we've got people encouraging the lunatic fringe to indulge their strangest desires and fantasies. It isn't about avoiding something dangerous or unpleasant, it is pure freak show.

As an aside, I’ve had lunch at Packo’s in Toledo—I live a half-hour from there. The sauce is a bit runny, but quite tasty. They also sell it in little 12 oz. cans at Walmart, etc., here—but it’s $3 a pop. Don’t know if it’s sold outside Northwest Ohio, though. Anybody out there see it in your stores that’s not in Ohio, just wondering...

Funny - saw this on a facebook feed.

Jamie Farr did actually serve in the U.S. Army. He was drafted in 1955 and served two years - in Japan and Korea. I believe he is also a conservative Republican.

Klinger married two times in the series, too...each time to a woman. It was so obvious that Max was not a transvestite, and that was what made the gag very funny.

IIRC, in the MASH series finale that nearly broke the New York City sewage system when it was broadcast, Klinger decides to STAY in Korea to help his new wife find her family.

Was it a real place when MASH was on, or did they create it because of the series?

Career over country. The motto of the 3 and 4 star officers carrying out Obama’s plan to destroy the military he hates.

Trivia: Jamie Farr who played Klinger on MASH, actually served in the Army in Korea. Though it was after the Korean war was over. Hes the only MASH cast member to have done so.
