When I read this, I think of the majority Republican Congress, governorships, state legislatures. They are truly irrelevant in the modern USA, which grows more liberal daily.

In Obama’s limited view (or those who manage him, as I doubt Obama thinks deeply about anything) The USA’s main weapons in keeping the empire together are not the armed legions, as with Rome.

They are financial, political, propoganda/ informational, and technological. When armed US personnel are required, he can use a very small contingent of special forces or CIA.

Just look at how he has waged his wars in Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Ukraine.

America is sunk!

When the cadets goesinto the Muslim ghettos in America to play nice....it’s just too much.

I like what one of our generals, who has been retired by the Kenyan president, said: “Is this a great war or what? They want do die and we want to kill them!”

During their April 15 visit to the Muslim Federation of New Jersey at 530 Montgomery St., cadets asked questions about Islam, ate traditional Pakistani dishes and attended a prayer session with the local Muslim community.

Like "Can you explain why you worship a child rapist, slave trader, sex slave trafficker, mass murderer, liar, thief, someone who thought drinking camel urine was a good idea and a hater of dogs?"

The U.S. military is already getting plenty of training in Muslim culture.

The Obama administration tells them to ignore the child rape that is endemic among Muslims.

Due to this Muslim dog and pony show, those cadets are going to be less prepared if they get assigned anywhere in the Muslim world than a person who knows nothing about it.

They had Equal Opportunity (EO) Officers in Iraq during the fighting.

What does an EO Officer do during combat?

Make sure the enemy shoots an equal number of times at different races?

But that's cultural appropriation, which, according to the latest shift in the liberal-left party line, is one of the worst sins you can commit.

I’m beginning to believe the best hope for our military is a scenario someone described a few months back. The current CENTCOM commander briefs the new Republican president on his plan to defeat ISIS, with the JCS Chairman alongside. It’s nothing more than a continuation of Obama’s failed plan. CINCCENT is fired on the spot, along with the JCS Chair. After dismissing them, POTUS makes a call to (Ret) Gen James “Wild Man” Mattis, the legendary Marine four-star who was dismissed at CENTCOM because he stood up to Obama. Mattis is returned to active duty with a mandate to defeat ISIS.

I hope a Republican president would take the assignment a step further and tell him to fix the U.S. military as well. Mattis knows how to take care of ISIS, so he could delegate his strategy to competent commanders in the field. That way, he could focus on the bigger picture of getting the military back in shape and eliminating the PC cancer that has infected the armed services.

My guess is that Wild Man, as SecDef or JCS Chair, would lop off a lot of heads in short order, and we might see a few more retired flag officers recalled to active duty. Another general who needs to get back in uniform is General Kevin Chilton, the retired Air Force four-star whose last assignment was CINCSTRATCOM. Chilton publicly criticized Obama for his cuts in the nuclear arsenal and sounded the alarm about the decline in our strategic forces during Barry’s first term. Very sharp guy whose talents are sorely needed now.

military pensions....when your leader tells you to jump, you say how high.....when he tells you to love your mortal enemy, you say “how much”....

The fork in the road was September 11, 2001.

Thanks George. Thanks Republicans. Thanks FOX, Sean, Rush, and Mark for providing cover to the politicians all these years as they commit the most egregious acts of negligence in American history.

Sure, obama, jarrett, clinton, et.al., are bad, but the Founders knew their kind would come up from time to time. They could have been stopped right in their tracks, per the Constitution.

One of the many reasons why we should never over-revere the military.

They can be turned against us, as they are at the duty of the gov.

You would think that West Point would send cadets on field trips to places like Gettysburg or to one of the many Revolutionary War, War of 1812 and other Civil War battlefields on the East Coast.

West Point requires cadets to take multiple courses in history and military history as part of the core curriculum, regardless of major. If they aren't already, they will become very familiar with the great commanders of US military history. The maps on the History Department webpage are my go to reference for any battle or war in which the US Army was involved. Needless to say, the author is not a graduate.

If the past is any measure these future officers will be deployed at some time to a Muslim country, perhaps multiple deployments. It seems to me a pretty sensible idea to have them meet some Muslims who won't be trying to kill them and learn something about the culture.
