Those novas were solid cars.

True, but they were subject to unexpected and random steering problems. For example, I'm sure you didn't mean to steer your car into his store (just providing some cover for ya, if needed).

I bought my first new car in 1971 after coming back from overseas. Cost $2700 and change for a 1972 Nova 2 dr 350 coupe.

Unfortunately, I got shipped out overeas less than 6 months later - didn’t see it for a few years.

LOL. I do recall that steering problem. I also recall manual brakes band steering being a b****. It was over 20 years ago so I’m good LOL.
