What's Obama waiting for? He’ll be unemployed, and his reluctance to endorse Hillary is a puzzle
The Washington Times ^ | April 18, 2016

At 54 and soon to be unemployed (though with a nice pension and a feast of travel perks), Barack Obama may well believe that there’s still something in the political world ahead for him. Congress has nothing for an ex-president — been there and done that. But there are options.

There’s been a small buzz about the United Nations, with a search under way for a new secretary-general, and deputies to the Great Mentioner, who usually confines himself to presidential possibilities, have mentioned Mr. Obama. The United Nations is from the bush leagues, but the president has entrusted much of his “transformation” of foreign policy to hapless international organizations....

That’s exactly what I was gonna post.

But I suppose rules are for little people and not the anointed one :-/

It would not surprise me a bit if they bent all the rules and stuck zero in as Sec Gen.

I’m so sick of the fool.

I believe that Iran and North Korea have already offered him jobs as their lobbyist.

I think even Obama won’t endorse a crook. Pardon, probably but not endorse.

The pot won’t endorse the kettle.

Oh the irony.

You’d have to find support from Russia and China. I don’t see either approving the guy.

What is generally said is that he’s hanging around DC for two or three years (for the kids to finish local schooling). Some story from early in the year suggested he was scouting for a house in Georgetown. My guess is that he’ll try to be some lecture-professor over there and get some weekly roundtable position with one of the networks. Toss in three or four afternoons of golf, and some foundation paying him for speeches....he’ll stay busy enough.

I wouldn’t worry about him writing more books....I just see much of a market existing after 2017 for the stuff he might write about.

... and Trump has the place fumigated and well aired out.

I don't think that's going to be enough. He'll have to burn it down and rebuild. Can you imagine living in the same house that cretin and his family did? I honestly couldn't do it.

I might believe this if Moochie was destined for the Illinois senate election....but that’s in 2020. Durban won’t be running (my prediction)....but that’s too far away for her to stay hooked up and play this game of getting the seat for free.

I think she’ll stay married to the guy until 2021. Then she’ll have the senate seat and be safe to dump him.

What's wrong with endless rounds of golf?
his reluctance to endorse Hillary is a puzzle...
Only an MSM mouthpiece like the Washington Times could fail to see Obama's indifference towards to the Clintons over the last eight years.
But then, maybe the article is intended as a little reminder to him: if he's hankering for a role at the UN after 2016 then he should be doing more to help Hillary towards the presidency now.

Several issues in play, here. If Clinton wins the presidency then the Clintons, as opposed to Obama, will head the Democratic party. It is better for Obama if a Republican wins the presidency over Hillary. Also, despite Obama’s insistence on all important issues that he learns about them the same time we do, in the news, he knows darn well when Hillary will be indicted. At that time, he will come out for the Democratic replacement. That replacement won’t be Bernie Sanders, who would lose bigger than Carter did to Reagan. If Obama steers somebody like Biden into office, then Obama can still lead or at least be the power behind the leader, of the Democratic party. That leadership is like a Russian having the keys to the warehouse.

Look for an indictment before the Democratic convention. Then, Obama will go into campaign mode for his chosen replacement. (So, there is no political involvement by Obama in the indictment process? Sure. I’ve got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.)

Agree that they will find some way to put him in a leadership role at un. He is going to indict Clinton and put in the controllable Biden at the last minute using his considerable war chest. this man has been fundraising for a purpose and if we think he is just going to go away we are delusional

Evil walks.
