The “smart one”, like you, who’s been insulting the same Trump supporters he would need in a general election. Not very smart.

Beck is an idiot. He might be right about this. But he is still an idiot.
If the November candidates do not include at least one of these candidates: clinton, sanders, Cruz or Trump, the will of all the people will have usurped by the will of the establishment political parties.
It is true Cruz cannot steal the election, but if he gets the nomination with 3 million fewer popular primary votes,200 fewer delegates and goes ahead without trump at least being his VP, he is done. He will be lucky to garner 59~60 million votes, well short of the 66 to 67 million he needs to win.
Here in Pa there are a lot of Republicans, both traditions (fewer) and nontraditional (most) who will not vote for Cruz. Sad but true.
To a larger number of folks in the old northeast industrial states it looks like the Uni-party is for illegal immigration, exporting jobs, importing cheep labor and putting in a political correctness that seeks to marginalize anyone who is not counter-western culture.
Cruz is kind a wash on all of those issues (except immigration), he does not stand out or challenge the norm. Simply stated, he offers a lot of folks who would vote for Trump literally.......nothing. There is a deep dissatisfaction with the insiders and Cruz is not seen as being an insider.
Does not matter if it is right or wrong, it is the perception, or narrative if you prefer.
Look this election is kind of different. New in our history has a candidate like Trump gotten this far. The most similar figure I can see in William Jennings Bryans in 1896, 120 years ago and he was not a compete outsider. Working and salary class folks are fed up and they will not hold their nose this election.
Cruz needs Trump and trump needs Cruz, it would the other way as well
