North Carolina Has the Chance to Lead a Revolution

This current impasse over the "Bathroom Law" provides North Carolina with a unique opportunity to be a leader not only in standing up to the radical leftist agenda and the bullying of the gay lobby, but also in advancing liberty

Recently, the state of North Carolina has found itself squarely in the cross hairs of the radical gay lobby and its social justice warrior (SJW) allies in business. The reason is a new law, passed by wide margins in both houses of the legislature and signed by Governor McCrory, which prevents local governments from passing ordinances allowing, among other things, so-called “transgendered” individuals to use bathrooms that do not conform to their actual, biological gender (i.e. would require men to use men’s restrooms, and women to use women’s facilities, regardless of what they “identify” as). This was in response to the city of Charlotte, which ignored the wishes of its own people and passed a “non-discrimination” ordinance that would have allowed men who “identify” as women to intrude into the personal privacy of women by using their restrooms.

The very idea that everything in this country should be nationalized is ludicrous.
If people are unhappy with North Carolina law, they can move to another state.
North Carolina is not required to bow to interests in California.
This is outrageous!

North Carolina will be just fine - believe me. The state is gorgeous with great weather. They an do as they please and people will still flock there.

Their sister state was the first to fire a shot in the Civil War, over the same issue. Let's see if North Carolina has the courage to defy the Federals.

By the way, the People of North Carolina are not helpless victims here. If the perverts in other states want to boycott them, then North Carolinians are free to boycott their enemies as well.

And I would like to see other states-rights states take a similar stance against the homo bullies, if not by passing similar laws then at least by joining North Carolina's boycott against the pervs.

Who will stand beside their fellow citizens in North Carolina?

Hope NC holds out. We went through the same crap last year in Indiana after we passed the RFRA law. Led by the IndyStar, the Homosexual mafia and major businesses the State and the governor/legislature were beaten on daily. But in the end businesses and conventions continued to find we were a good place to come too. The IndyStar to this day I think is in mourning over the fact they couldn’t destroy the state’s economy.

This year the legislature took up the issue again proposing a compromise that added homosexuals to the list of special victims, while protecting religious freedom. Because they didn’t get every single thing they wanted(the transgender thing in particular) the gay mafia said no to the bill. So, and I am very proud of this, the state said screw you and dropped the whole thing and moved on to more important things.

We as a group, the right, need to understand after decades of trying to compromise, that there is no compromise with the Left. For them it is war and there will always be another battle to win, another hill to take. Either we accept this and take the same attitude or we roll over and watch the culture disintegrate. There is no middle ground.

States’ rights or not, convention and custom evolved over THOUSANDS of years has sort of stressed separate private function facilities for each of the genders, simply to keep good order and to minimize certain opportunities from arising.

But now that all these conventions and customs are being kicked aside, how shall accommodations ever be made for the Islamic State once it is declared in the territory once known as “the United States of America”?

The new masters are not likely to accept the “new, modern” accommodations. Transgender does not exist in their view of the world, or if they do, stand to be buried to the waist and stoned to death.

Here’s the situation in NC as I see it.

Last year, Republican Governor Pat McCrory vetoed religious freedom legislation like the kind vetoed by the Georgia governor, Nathan Deal, the other week.

Now suddenly, in Governor McCrory’s re-election year and just weeks after the GOPe candidate of the hour (Marco Rubio) was crushed by the first and second place finishes of candidates Trump and Cruz in the NC primary, this legislation clears the legislature and is signed by Pat McCrory.

McCrory’s opponent from the Democrats is the state’s Attorney General, who is saying he won’t defend the law from the lawsuit against.

I think the GOP Establishment has created an emotional wedge to help the governor get re-elected. Eventually after the courts weigh in and maybe rule against the law, after the election dust settles, watch out for the cave-in.

No backbone in GA or VA, pieces of silver talk loud and clear to those governors.

Let’s see if my state folds if the Fed threatens to not give $$$$!

That seems to be the test of every state now a days. Do as we say or don’t expect whatever fed funds!

It's nothing more than Unionist blackmail. The money belongs to the People first, then to the States, then -- if at all -- to the Feds. Yet they use it as the final hammer to beat everyone into submission. "Teach our pro-homo/anti-Christian crap in your schools or no educational dollars. Impose a 55-mph speed limit and ridiculous emissions regulations or no transportation dollars. Treat illegals and gimmedats or no healthcare/social services dollars."

It's basically racketeering with a Washington flavor.

I am apathetic about our governor or any governor being able to withstand this vicious and HIGHEST-connected hate group, which is allowed to openly practice what they have condemned others from. We are ruled by pederasts, because we are condemned from criticizing them.

While I admire McCrory’s balls, it is likely that this is only posturing, therefore not courage but craft. The latest is that the Duke, A number 1, is now investigating for possible sanctions.

I'd like to see an exchange program set up. Connecticut has been busy chasing its many but dwindling allotment of gun manufacturers out of state. Ya think Colt would trade a production of "Wicked" and some TV studios for Colt?

I think states that choose to promote a Christian, conservative value set should brag about it, and market their virtues to the massive demographic that is sick and tired of perversion, deviancy, government tyranny, and erosion of their closely held beliefs. Those states will attract hard-working, law-abiding citizens who will be ideal citizens. Let California and New York and Illinois and the rest of the lib states have the flotsam, the queers, and the human garbage.

I can't help but think businesses would want a hard-working, diligent workforce rather than a bunch of whiners, victims, and parasites, so it would be natural for the businesses to migrate to upright states too. Especially if their taxes are low because they're not supporting a catalogue of worthless social programs and giveaways.
