Did Good Friday Come & Go Without Anybody Noticing?
It was doleful weather when so few of us went to pray the Stations of the Cross at the churches in this area on Good Friday. All statues were draped in purple. The quiet of the church underlined that this was the day our Savior would die on the Cross.
There were few signs anywhere in the mainstream media that it was Good Friday , and worse settling back to work, signs were everywhere that the catfight was going to rage on between Donald Trump and Ted Cruz. It may have been Good Friday for some, but it was Good Fighting Day for others.
At the end of the day it was as if Good Friday had come and gone without anybody really noticing.
Folks, is it not sad and telling that the our politicians from both sides of the cess pool appear to be 1) not bright at all, 2) not honest at all, and 3) repulsive human beings in every sense of the word?
Perhaps Thomas Jefferson was correct in his thought that revolutions should not be rare.
And perhaps instead of banning bakeries from baking cakes that they do not wish to bake, ‘twould be far better to ban lawyers from top positions.
Just a thought.
Not for me. I had a wonderful day praising the Lord for his great love and mercy.
God is so much greater that all of this stuff. I look forward to Easter, a celebration of Christ’s resurrection which is the evidence of the full acceptance of the Father of Jesus’ perfect and eternal sacrifice. Jesus’ sacrifice was greater than God’s judgment and condemnation of the sin of the world on Jesus’ body. Hallelujah!

I think this speaks far more to the rapid descent to a post-Christian Canada (only slightly behind post-Christian Europe) than it does to any political ramblings or revelations.
We noticed. But we were also shown huge amounts of sin from someone claiming purity, and his attempts to shift the blame to someone else.
Not exactly the best message for Good Friday, but plenty of biblical lessons were taught to those watching.
Not for me. I have told strangers to have a Happy Easter today. They thanked me.

As for Good Friday being obliterated, however, I know that it'll take a lot more than what got dished out yesterday to accomplish that. Fragile, Christ's sacrifice was not... and temporal bread, circuses and smoke screens can't alter it.

Ted’s Good Friday message to the world was that even ugly, goofy looking dudes can get some fine looking Mommas.
We are at war. Religious holidays rarely impact war or politics. It certainly didnt matter on 12/25/1776 when Washington crossed the Delaware and kicked serious but.
We need to keep things in perspective. Trump or Cruz, for all their warts, are many times better for this country compared to Hillary! the Queen Warthog. At least Trump and Cruz appear to love their country. Bill & Hillary are consummate grifters who have sold their souls and sold out this country multiple times, and are probably looking forward to testing new schemes.

But the similarity ends there. In this story, you won’t find a Wise Man or a Virgin. ;-)
More importantly for the hildabeast, the trump/cruz cat fight has kept her treasonous email/bribe scheme out of the headlines all week.

I was able to take a break from work so my wife and I attended Stations of the Cross today here in Abu Dhabi (I am on a temp work assignment and she is visiting). She works as a DRE for a parish back in Los Angeles and was very impressed with the devotion of the young adults and teens during the service. Not one person left early and the A Capella singing was done with full participation. They understand what a beautiful gift they have in their Catholic Faith here in a non Christian nation. Prayers for the Missionary of Charity nuns and Fr. Tom, the missing priest from Yemen were also offered. A beautiful service. The good in this world is still worth fighting for. I had a personal standard for politicians.If I wouldn’t have them in my house for dinner,I wouldn’t vote for them.None of the present crowd comes close to that.
