FR: Allen B. West 2016 Working Group "Steadfast and Loyal"; Ted Cruz, GOP Voters, "Pass the Baton"
Monday, March 21, 2016 | FR Golden Gate

Posted on 03/21/2016 4:10:35 PM PDT by Golden Gate

In Jan. 2016, I was 'Cold on Cruz, and Trump whatever...'

On Feb. 29, I posted the thread by TrevorLoudon.com, who essentially said that Ted Cruz has been the victim of an effective smear campaign. He refuted most / all of the accusations against Ted Cruz, point by point. So I kind of warmed up to Cruz.

Recently, FR little jeremiah, posted a link to an article from the Lame Cherry Blog http://lamecherry.blogspot.com/2016/03/the-stuff-that-little-romneys-are-made.html. I had a link to this article in my bookmarks. After having read the article here in March, I have gone back to 'Cold on Cruz'.

I still notice and I am somewhat amazed at the FR conservatives who are adament in their opposition to the nomination of Donald Trump. They continue to warn conservatives and America about Trump, and several / many insist that then would never vote for Trump.

There is the assessment that Ted Cruz still has a chance at the nomination. My best assessment is:

Ted Cruz 2016 Campaign - Mortally wounded (much / most of it self- inflicted.)

All of Sen. Cruz's questionable votes in the U.S. Senate, and his big donors, the "eligibility landmine", the "Heidy factor", etc., can be explained, or not? In total, it is like fumbling the ball several times in the Bowl Game. Even your loyal fans begin to have major doubts in your ability, and to lose interest.

This is NOT about being a "fair weather friend". This is my best assessment.

Ted Cruz 2016 Campaign - Does he still have a realistic chance? Now I don't really care. I am now solidly "Cold on Cruz" and "Cruz 2016 whatever..."

Best Bold Action by Ted Cruz and conservative voters:

In order for true Republican (true GOP) voters to put the emphasis back on saving our American Republic, the GOP voters need to "Pass the Baton" to Allen B. West.

Note, Ted Cruz can continue to campaign, and he may prove himself worthy to be the Pres. or VP nominee at the GOP convention, or to serve in the Cabinet of the next Administration.

How many Republican constitutional / conservative voters are "Cold on Cruz" or adamately opposed to Ted Cruz 2016? Of these voters, how many would be "Red Hot for Allen West 2016"?

There is always a negative conotation put on a "brokered convention". I understand why. Let's look at it as and "open" convention, as a "dynamic" convention.

The latest that I read on FR was that the GOP convention rules are finally decided just a week or two before the convention. We hear that delegates are required by rules (and by election law?) to vote for "their candidate" on the first ballot. Is there a provision for "abstaining" on the first ballot?

Better yet, The Bold Action for Ted Cruz 2016:

"The Plan" is to get the necessary (1273 ? / ? exact number? ) (or more) constitutionalist GOP delegates to the GOP convention.

Ted Cruz, admit that nomination failure is an option, a very possible / likely outcome.

Agree that Allen West is much more preferrable than Donald Trump.

Ted Cruz, make a firm commitment to "Pass the Baton" to Allen West.

GOP voters vote for Ted Cruz, with the understanding that if, *WHEN* the constitutionalist delegates have control, they will vote for Ted Cruz on the first ballot. Ted Cruz can then decline the nomination, and you trust the delegates to make the best decisions for the Pres. / VP nominees, hopefully selecting from a list of Allen West, Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, (or equivalant).

Meet Allen West

(?) There may still be time for Allen West to qualify for the CA primary ballot. Or, as a CA write-in.

(Yes, conservative Democrat here...) // I have to post & go. Expect to be back Tues.

Also, for Democrat Voters: For Democrats, are there any suitable "Favorite Son Candidates" on the Democrat ballots in the remaining primary states? Or, are there any suitable Democrat "Write-in" candidates in the primary states?

You were dissuaded by Lame Cherry? Are Alex Jones, Ulstermann and David Icke too mainstream for you?

Trump will have the delegates he needs and Allen West ought to be at the top of his short list of potential VP picks.

Who in the name of all that’s holy is “Lame Cherry”?

And more to the point, why should I care?

Ditto re “Golden Gate”? Why is your analysis any better or more thought through than mine? I am still hoping for a Cruz-West ticket, BTW.

Seriously, Allen West?

He lost his taste for electoral politics after a single two -year term.

Rather than try to run again to regain his seat, he fled Florida for Texas.

The odious Stephanie Fields smeared him with allegations of sexual misconduct in an elevator, and suddenly he is no longer in politics?

If he has any fight left in him, we’ll see him run for Congress again. Otherwise, he’s just a talking head.
