Abdulrahman Al-Wuhaib, senior vice president, said in the Wednesday statement that.. Saudi Aramco will assumes Sole Ownership America's largest refinery. The Port Arthur Texas Complex includes 26 distribution terminals, and hold an exclusive license to use the Shell brand for gasoline and diesel sales in Texas, most of the Mississippi Valley, the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic markets.

Jeff Eggemeyer ... The largest refinery in our country, being in sole ownership of the Saudi government, ... You need only look at the current "free market" strategy (mutilating currency reserves to destroy corporate and NOCC competitors) being employed by the Sauds, and the "free trade" activity of "dumping" into our market (destroy our producers with non economic acceleration of exports), to grasp the implications of this transaction.

Freep Citizen Zed (1/25/16) noticed plans for a possible initial public offering are not being driven by a need for cash amid a global slump but a desire for greater openness to outside investors, Khalid al-Falih said the potential listing of the world's largest oil producer "is not for cash" but a "sign of the times"

Neither Citizen Zed nor Rab seem well convinced.

When two drug companies or two US telecom companies want to merge, the government flexes its regulatory muscle and stops many of those that they deem unfavorable to the American economy. How in the world can Saudi ownership of the nation’s biggest refinery help our oil industry when such ownership gives the Saudis the right to import their sour crude into our country for refining, thus harming the American oil producers who have invested their money and their expertise to make the US oil independent? This is another example of Obama trying to damage America .
