Let’s be realistic here. A campaign is still underway. Cruz defending Trump against attacks by Romney would be as dumb as Cruz defending Rubio from attacks by Trump. It is not yet time for the candidates to kiss, make up and form a coalition, but it will come.
I haven’t heard Trump defending Cruz from attacks by Mitch McConnell, John McCain, Linda Graham, etc. He’s actually used them to his advantage.

In their eyes it’s not nutz. They know if Trump wins big on March 15th, he’ll be the next Prez. If Cruz wins he’ll be the next target. This can only mean one thing, GoPe at this point is acting as Hillary’s attack dogs. Why? Because they are not pro-life, don’t really care about the second amend, love the open border, love the money bundlers.. etc.. Trump has exposed them for who they are.
