Donnie Wahlberg endorsed Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio, his campaign announced Sunday.
Wahlberg, a Massachusetts-born singer and actor, said in his endorsement the country needs a leader like the Florida senator.
"Even though we do not see eye to eye on every issue, I know that Marco is a man of principle who can be trusted to keep us safe and give each and every one of us a shot at the American Dream," Wahlberg said in a statement. He referenced Rubio's background and said the candidate will be able to unite the country.
"Marco is a humble man who has not forgotten his roots, and he will fight to make sure that where you come from does not determine how far you can go. We need a leader like Marco to inspire a new Republican party and unite our nation, and I am proud to support him for President."

Oh yeah, and he has his convicted felon brother who brought us Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch.

Donnie DOES play the part of a hard-boiled cop perfectly though.
I thought he was pretty good as Lipton in Band of Brothers.

Rubio is like a Stepford canidate. If he malfunctions you will get, “I thought we were friends; I thought we were friends; I thought we were frineds..”
He was actually excellent in Band of Brothers as Carwood Lipton. And he gets points for marrying Jenny McCarthy...

In fairness to Donnie though....
He IS from Massachusetts, and grew up in Boston (South Boston I believe, or Dorchester...).
A guy like him usually endorse a democrat, hell, IS a democrat. so you’d think if he was going to go off the reservation here, you’d think Bernie would be that guy, but he ACTUALLY endorsed a Republican! Now, Rubio is a RINO who tried to give us amnesty... But still, I like seeing celebrities actually supporting non-democrats. It is bold.

You ‘Rubes’ need not worry because I am sure that the All Powerful el Rushbo will be promoting his full throated Cabana Boy full on starting tomorrow.
