Desperate, Dishonest Donald Trump Goes Birther on Ted Cruz
PJ Media ^ | 06-01-2016 | Michael van der Galien

Posted on 01/06/2016 3:19:23 AM PST by Michael van der Galien

You knew it was coming!

Donald Trump said in an interview that rival Ted Cruz’s Canadian birthplace was a “very precarious” issue that could make the Texas senator vulnerable if he became the Republican presidential nominee.

“Republicans are going to have to ask themselves the question: ‘Do we want a candidate who could be tied up in court for two years?’ That’d be a big problem,” Trump said when asked about the topic.

This is how Donald Trump operates: whenever he's threatened by someone in the polls, he tries to smear his opponents. He did so with Dr. Ben Carson, calling him pathological, and he now does the same with Ted Cruz by trying to convince voters he isn't eligible to become president because he wasn't born in the United States.

Sadly for the billionaire businessman, however, there is one minor problem: in September of last year he admitted that Cruz is eligible:

"From what I understand everything is fine. I hear that it [Cruz's eligibility] was checked out by every attorney, in every which way, and I understand that Ted is in fine shape."

As Mark Levin says: "Oh my."

It goes to show just how sad a man Trump is. He doesn't have actual arguments to use against Cruz, and so he makes it personal and utterly dishonest. The man has no scruples, no moral compass to guide his actions. He's just willing to do whatever it takes to become the Republican nominee; if he has to lie and smear to do so, he'll do it.

Michael van der Galien pimping his Cruz-botting blog about a story that has been argued ad-nauseum in a gazillion other threads on FR for the past 24 hours.

Thanks Michael van der Galien! What would we have done without you?

‘He’s a friend of mine. I have great respect for him…. certainly it’s a stumbling block and he’s going to have to have it solved before he goes too far,’ Trump said, according to The Dallas Morning News.

This is what trump said

This is a media hackjob, hes saying that people will bring up to attack Cruz if he goes against Hillary

Baloney!

In response to a query he said basically that it will be tough for Cruz because the Dems will trot this out and hound him with it mercilessly.

He has already said he thinks Cruz is legally qualified to run.

Various miscreants just want to create controversy between the two best republican contenders.

This will be smoothed out and IMO a Trump/Cruz ticket is a near certainty.

Donald Trump has no problem with being dishonorable to get what he wants. After all he did try to throw an elderly woman off her property, so he could use her land as a parking lot. And this was BEFORE the liberal justices ruled in favor of eminent domain.

Trump would act as a dictator in the White House, imo, although not as bad as Hillary (or Obama).

I hope we get a President Cruz, or someone comparable.

I don’t think its a personal attack, its a issue that Hillary would get Joy picking at.

So many here would have liked the GOPe to go and get all Obama’s hidden records.

But the Dems won’t be shy about going after TED and if asked about this TRump was being his honest self would we want him to be less than Trump about any issue?

You want an honest man or a politician?

Donald Trump IS a Democrat.

And you act like a Democrat, and are blind to truth, just like the Dems did w/ Obama.

I’m a Cruz supporter. I will however vote for Trump in the general ( if he is chosen) and hope Cruz is his veep.
I think what Trump is saying is a positive thing. Let’s get it out of the way as with George Romney, John McCain and possibly Chester A Arthur.

Exactly. Media whore trying to write something into Trumps statement that wasn’t said.

Trump was asked a question by the media reporter and he answered it honestly.

If nothing else this should at least end once and for all the nonsense about a Trump/Cruz ticket in November.

So...the subject nauseates you and it’s been argued in a “gazillion other threads on FR for the past 24 hours”? I guess we won’t see you now popping up and posting a “gazillion other” posts on the subject now?

Just sayin’.

Your wrong, Trump was saying that this issue will be used by others like Hilliary to attack him

heres what Trump said

He’s a friend of mine. I have great respect for him ,certainly it’s a stumbling block and he’s going to have to have it solved before he goes too far,

And thats the truth, you dont think the liberal media and Hillary will slander Cruz with this if he wins the nomination and is up against Hilliary,

Hes saying Cruz must put this issue 100% to rest so it wont be used against him.

After Trump uses it first. Sign of desperation on his part. Note at no time did Trump say be believed Cruz was a natual-born citizen.

Thanks for the link...even though it is of Chris Matthews. Speaking of nauseous, seeing this “discussion” seems to bring great glee and joy to Chris Matthews and his “crew”.
