While I am not a fan of Donald Trump, I am in no way ‘Ashamed’ of him, or for either of us being white.
the la times is just being its usual racist self.
You should be you dirty racist. (((sarcasm)))
The Donald is very much NOT a “typical white”, he is an entrepreneur who has very successfully parlayed what was a rather large personal fortune into being one of the wealthiest persons in the US.
And he did it all through application of those principles he delineated so well in his book “Art of the Deal”, a primer on how to turn cash investment into a rather comfortable pile of goods and property.
But The Donald is much more than that. He sees a vision of a nation that was once the greatest in the world, leading to a golden age of prosperity, but dragged down by the “equalizers”, zealous jealous little men who never learned how to MAKE something of their own, but could only TAKE from others. The other part of that vision is that the former greatness can be restored, and he will negotiate with as many parties as it takes to assure that future is realized.
But he does not negotiate with those of whom are there only to work an angle, giving nothing but expecting some reward just for showing up. Come to the table with something of value, for which you are willing to exchange for something of even greater value to yourself. The Donald has exactly that expectation for himself, and he will use whatever strategy necessary for both parties to walk away from the table satisfied with the results of the deal.
The Donald does not tolerate slackers or whiners, and excuses are not negotiating tools. If you cannot or will not do the job, then expect to hear, “You’re fired!”
But he does hire a lot of people in the first place.
I agree. I'm not into racial pride, nor am I a self-hating white (see Susan Sontag, Tim Wise, the SPLC).
