Stupid 2015 predictions made by some stupid people

As compiled by Politico, let’s take a look at the genius predictions made by the “experts,” during 2015.

Republican Congressman Jason Chaffetz, July 7:

“I happen to be in the camp that thinks [Romney’s] actually going to run, and I think he will be the next president of the United States.”

Chris Cillizza the Washington Post, February 26, 2015: “So, let’s assume—gulp—that Trump is serious this time around. Heck, while we’re at it, let’s assume he actually runs. IT. DOESN’T. MATTER. I can’t emphasize that strongly enough.”

As late as August 20, the Daily Beast said: “Making political predictions rarely turns out well, but here’s one: Donald Trump will not be a candidate for president in 2016. What? Yes, I know, he’s already announced. In my view, though, he won’t take this all the way to the ballot in Iowa, New Hampshire, or any of the Republican caucus or primary elections. Why? Because he’s Donald Trump and everything we know about him tells us he won’t do it.”

Senator Lindsey Graham July 20, 2015: “The American people will not tolerate what he is doing now regarding those who have served. This is a line he has crossed. This is the beginning of the end of Donald Trump.”

Charles Krauthammer, Fox News, August 6, 2015: “The real story is the collapse of Trump in this debate. … The fact is he was out of place. … When he can go on on his own and ramble, he is entertaining...

When Rubio and Jeb are forced to cash it in, there is only one place left for the GOP to go to stop Trump/Cruz.

Add Romneybot votes to Hillary votes on a unity ticket and they win. The math is there. Romney is pro abort so the Dems will go for it to avoid a nightmare for their progress.

Stupid predictions. I listen too George Noory for the flying saucer conspiracies. But he had an astrologer predicting Hillary defeating Jeb in November. Lol. Trump will fade. Sounded like a rerun from September. All these Democrat astrologers studying planet wishful thinking. I turned on Classical music and went to sleep as Mozart played. He always seems to have these characters on. This one predicted Romney would pick Condi Rice. He has a track record

Good post on your part... but these symbols that pop up on FR make things like this impossible to read.

I remain stunned (and disappointed)at how quickly Scott Walker’s campaign wilted to where his team saw no hope of winning. I think perhaps there were personal reasons too.

I’ve never been through anything close to the white hot pressure of a national campaign. Perhaps the stress was just too much, for Scott, his wife or their sons, in which case they did the right thing. Sometimes a campaign becomes too tramatizing, not worth all the sacrifice. Try again in ten years, after the kids have left.

Agree, I cannot read enough of it to figure out what it says. I take it, FR is not doing anything to fix on their end so posters have to figure it out on their end. Most of the time, if I see there are the symbols in it, I hit the back button.

Me too on Walker.
I was looking forward to a motorcycle riding President. Even if he did ride a Harley.

Here it is, discombobulated:

As compiled by Politico, let’s take a look at the genius predictions made by the “experts,” during 2015.

Republican Congressman Jason Chaffetz, July 7:

“I happen to be in the camp that thinks [Romney’s] actually going to run, and I think he will be the next president of the United States.”

Chris Cillizza the Washington Post, February 26, 2015: “So, let’s assume—gulp—that Trump is serious this time around. Heck, while TRUMP 8we’re at it, let’s assume he actually runs. IT. DOESN’T.

Charles Krauthammer, Fox News, August 6, 2015: “The real story is the collapse of Trump in this debate. ... The fact is he was out of place. TRUMP MEDIA BIAS... When he can go on on his own and ramble, he is entertaining, sharp and amusing, but here when he is controlled in a tight setting he was lost for most of the debate.”

Jonah Goldberg, Los Angeles Times, July 22, 2015: “The Trump squall is not over, alas. But it’s nonetheless obvious that we will someday soon look back on this as the beginning of the end of Trumpmania. ... The reason his demise is all so predictable is that personality eventually shines through. A few politicians are capable of hiding their truly unpleasant personal qualities, but it takes enormous effort, and sooner or later the mask slips.”

Nate Cohn, the New York Times, July 8, 2015: “Donald Trump’s surge in the polls has followed the classic pattern of a media-driven surge. Now it will most likely follow the classic pattern of a party-backed TRUMP GOP REPUBLICANdecline. ... His support will erode as the tone of coverage shifts from publicizing his anti-establishment and anti-immigration views, which have some resonance in the party, to reflecting the chorus of Republican criticism of his most outrageous comments and the more liberal elements of his record.”

Some guy writing in American Spectator, July 15:

“..It will soon become apparent that Scott Walker stands out head and shoulders above the rest. ... I believe Walker will not only win the GOP nomination, but be elected President in November 2016.”

C2CAM has been unlistenable for about a decade.

A few months after Ramona Bell died, Art went off the deep end, and he stopped being the occasional draw on weekends as well, let alone his new year predictions.

Tried listening to the first Noory prediction show, and probably fell asleep to some OTR instead.

Years ago I ran across a 70s issue of ‘Kiplingers Magazine’ with the headline of ‘What Will The Future Look Like’. Their predictions were so far off the mark it made me laugh. And the things that are common place today they didn’t have a clue...

I wondering if others like e found it unentertaining to have a spokesman for the DNC in astrologer’s clothing. LOL Astrology can be entertaining. But this guy is not. He actually had an astrology guy on who said it was how outsiders interact, and that depending on other events he saw only three winners possible - Trump, Rubio, and Hillary. This guy was on in August. It depended on their “energy”. May the force be with you. Interesting.

It is also claimed by her followers that she predicted the rise of ISIS, after predicting a “great Muslim war”.

And now it has been revealed that, before her death at age 85 she predicted “a 2016 invasion by Muslim extremists” across Europe.

Vanga said that by the end of the year the continent would “cease to exist”.

More specifically, she said: “[Extremists] would use chemical warfare against Europeans.”
