A gun shop and shooting range in Kingston, Tennessee, listened and read the news of attacks on Christians in mass shootings in Oregon and in Charleston, South Carolina. He read of Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey call for Christians to arm themselves and to get a carry permit.
Brant W. Williams is the owner of that shop, Frontier Firearms, and he decided to act. He offered Christians a discount of 5% on buying firearms in his store for Christians who purchased selected handguns. Frontier Firearms also has an on-site range and offers firearms training. Thousands go through their courses each year. They have been in business for sixteen years.
It was a promotional offer, and done in good faith. It garnered national publicity on facebook and brought intense criticism and intense support.
Williams did not deny anyone a discount because of their faith, but he thought that it would be worthwhile to offer something to Christians so that they could identify themselves as Christian and armed.
He came up with the idea of Christian Carry Pins. These pins are enamelled pins shown above. They simply state "I am Christian and I carry". A bible verse is identified at the bottom of the pin. Luke 22: 35-37 is the most common:
Luke 22:35-37 And He said to them, "When I sent you without money bag, knapsack, and sandals, did you lack anything?" So they said, "Nothing." Then He said to them, "But now, he who has a money bag, let him take it, and likewise a knapsack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one. "For I say to you that this which is written must still be accomplished in Me: 'And He was numbered with the transgressors.' For the things concerning Me have an end."The pins cost $5 each. Sales appear to be strong.
"I am stunned that anyone that says he follows the Prince of Peace is associating with Christ and with weapons and violence," said Em Chitty, a woman who opposed the pins. While Em Chitty is well educated, she appears to be delusional when it comes to the concept of defense of self and others. It is hard to believe that she sees no difference between ISIS, with its policies of forced conversion or death, literal slavery, rape of women and children that are captured, burning captured prisoners alive, and literal crucifixion, as the same as American Christians carrying arms for self defense.
Chitty said she is concerned with religious hatred in America, and she believes Williams is betraying what our country is supposed to be about.
"I ask myself the question -- how is that different from what ISIS does," said Chitty. "I don't find an answer there."
Savoy Leather has been advertising a nicely crafted holster with a crusader design, too. Not quite as subtle as the pin, though.
Those Savoy holsters are very cool but very pricey too.
Psalm 144.
I like these!
yes
I’m christian, but when I carry I don’t want people to know. . .
But I’m sure he still requires un-Constitutional background checks for anyone buying a gun from him?
“But Iâm sure he still requires un-Constitutional background checks for anyone buying a gun from him?”
You would rather he be jailed, his business closed down, and he sells to no one?

Yeh, she's right.
Just last week I saw on TV how Christians were cutting off the heads of Muslim kids on a beach.
Then I saw that Christians kidnapped a bunch of Muslim girls out of a high school and forced them in to marriage with their Christian warriors.
Sure there is no difference between Christian fundamentalist and Islamic fundamentalist. None at all.

Forgive me if I have little respect for those that would be entirely ok with pi$$ing all over the Constitution in the name of making a living.
So, you do not pay income tax, do not take or pay into Socialist insecurity, and do not have a drivers license?
It is just barely possible, for a few people to live as you suggest.
As a matter of fact, I do NOT have a driver's license, I have reduced my taxable income so as not to pay any taxes, and, while I am still working on getting away from the insecurity system, I have not, unfortunately, made it just that far yet, though that will come within the next couple years. I have been slowly working towards "going Galt". I'm sick of being part of the problem.
It is NOT "barely possible". It is ENTIRELY possible - if you are willing to pay a price. Well guess what? You know that saying, "Freedom isn't free"? That doesn't just apply to folks in the military. It also applies to you and I. It is certainly possible to do, but it requires much sacrifice. Sacrifice that the majority of America is unwilling to make. Somehow, we think we are "better" and have more to lose than the Founders did.
“I ask myself the question — how is that different from what ISIS does,” said Chitty. “I don’t find an answer there.
Your ignorance or lack of intelligence is not our responsibility. ISIS use weapons to murder innocent peoples. We use or weapons to defend innocent peoples. That may be too hard for you to grasp.....
PLEASE do not advertise that you carry! No bumper stickers, no pins, no t-shirts, nothing. You’ll be much better off by actually CONCEALING your weapon and the fact that you have one.

You are welcome to your opinion. Concealed carry has advantages. So does open carry. Concealed carry works better in some situations, open carry in others.
I carry as I think best for the situation, sometimes both ways at once.
I believe everyone should be free to do the same as they see fit.
Just order some. In Arizona, concealed carry is also acceptable as discrete carry (or open), and I don’t care is someone sees a pin.
