Back in the day when I was on the Internet training wheels of AOL (current Huffpost people).
They had these “rooms” for discussion and when a new person joined the conversation/room their entry would be announced.
Announced as, “so and so (the users handle)” has entered the room.
I changed my handle to “A man with a Gun”.
