The SPLC is composed of left-wing liars. No one with any sense should pay any attention to anything they “report.”
Strategy:
1. Say we have to fight “hate”, the emotion, as if that is the driving motivator for all bad in the world.
2. Say rivals are driven by hate, not alternative priorities and world-views. You demonize them as evil and deny their logical basis for disagreeing in one swoop.
3. Argue for banning “hate speech”, which includes everything that opposes your views, because they are all just “haters”.
4. You have limits on speech, association and public expression in the name of banning hate, and you get fascism wrapped up in warm and fuzzy protecting of feelings.
I’ve said this, as long as I’ve been on this forum: The biggest ‘hate group’ in the country is the Democrat Party.
