The Southern Poverty Law Center; turning enemies into “Hate Groups”

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), as stated by many of its liberal donors, spends lavishly on its founder Morris Dees, accomplishes little, and pays out far more money on self-promotion than it gives to all of its charity causes put together.

A great deal of money comes to the SPLC via the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), a listing of charities that is given annually to federal civil servants and military personnel.

The SPLC makes a great deal of money by imposing white guilt on its target donors.

Not advertised in the Combined Federal Campaign is the fact that the SPLC failed an audit by the Arlington Better Business Bureau which sets the standards for charity programs. One of those standards is that at least 50% of all proceeds should be spent on the programs and activities listed on the charter that runs the existing programs – the very reason that charitable programs exist. The SPLC has been shown to spend 89% on fundraising and administrative costs.

So what does the SPLC do to assist in the fundraising that pays Morris Dees a $289,000 annual salary?

One of the programs that they use to instill fear in donors is the SPLC “Hate List” as seen on the organization’s website. Yet I tried for four days in a row and could not get a list of the hate groups to come up on their site. I sent a request on the contact page about getting the list, and never received an answer.

A copy of the hate list, often available elsewhere on line, has shown some remarkable tendencies. There are no left wings groups on the list. The Nation of Islam, the Black Panthers, and other various groups...

The SPLC is composed of left-wing liars. No one with any sense should pay any attention to anything they “report.”

Strategy:
1. Say we have to fight “hate”, the emotion, as if that is the driving motivator for all bad in the world.
2. Say rivals are driven by hate, not alternative priorities and world-views. You demonize them as evil and deny their logical basis for disagreeing in one swoop.
3. Argue for banning “hate speech”, which includes everything that opposes your views, because they are all just “haters”.
4. You have limits on speech, association and public expression in the name of banning hate, and you get fascism wrapped up in warm and fuzzy protecting of feelings.

I’ve said this, as long as I’ve been on this forum: The biggest ‘hate group’ in the country is the Democrat Party.

Of course, the list does not have any non-black Muslim Mosques that recruit for terror. How weird, huh?

“The Boykin letter concludes that “it is completely inappropriate for the Department of Justice to recommend public reliance on the SPLC hate group lists and data.” The letter demanded that all ties between the FBI and SPLC be severed.
