For an organization that's more akin to preventing parenthood Planned Parenthood sure has given birth to the mother of all irony on Facebook recently.
The screenshots below are everything that is right and wrong with social media. When I first saw a screenshot of this on Tumblr I thought it was fake...IT HAD TO BE FAKE.
If you go to the link you'll see the volume of literal insanity is absolutely maddening.
A lot of intelligent people have pointed out the sheer irony of this post. I would say just go ahead and check it for yourself, but..
.
Planned Parenthood is looking to..."humanize"...the responses by getting rid of the..."antis."
There are a lot of good ones, but I'll just post the very best one I found...
While the conservatives commenting on this were pointing out the irony the liberals in support of this steaming pile of hell-diarrhea were busy just being ironic:
In reading these comments, which tragically are legion in this post, I was reminded of something C.S. Lewis once wrote (emphasis added is mine):
"No man knows how bad he is till he has tried very hard to be good. A silly idea is current that good people do not know what temptation means. This is an obvious lie. Only those who try to resist temptation know how strong it is. After all, you find out the strength of the German army by fighting against it, not by giving in. You find out the strength of a wind by trying to walk against it, not by lying down. A man who gives in to temptation after five minutes simply does not know what it would have been like an hour later. That is why bad people, in one sense, know very little about badness - they have lived a sheltered life by always giving in. We never find out the strength of the evil impulse inside us until we try to fight it: and Christ, because He was the only man who never yielded to temptation, is also the only man who knows to the full what temptation means â the only complete realist."While I was in my first couple of years in college I totally bought in being pro-choice for a couple of reasons:
I don't know, and wont presume in the slightest, that Planned Parenthood's defenders are bad people, the point of sharing the C.S. Lewis quote was to point out they clearly don't comprehend how bad and evil their support for Planned Parenthood and abortion truly is.
I didn't, until I did.
The bastards dehumanize babies, by not giving them names and calling them fetuses.
Notice how the left humanized a lion, by giving it a name: Cecil, and how much outrage there was over the lion, but none over the babies.
WSo genocidal eugenicists are also hypocrites and progressives. So what else is new?
I, on the other hand, do presume defenders of Planned Parenthood ARE evil.
Planed Parenthood, it’s her body so she has the right to choose what to do with it, a fetus is not a human it’s a cluster of cells, pregnancy is a health condition and an unwanted pregnancy is a disease and so on. IMHO, All of this and every person who believes it are of Satan. God will forgive them but they will not escape His consequences.
A little over a decade ago I worked at a performing arts center that also hosted events. As such they had a kitchen.
One time we had a rat problem and the guy in charge of maintenance set out traps to kill them. One of the girls in our office came TOTALLY unglued over this. She was so incensed that he was trying to kill them even though their presence could shut down our event business.
This same girl (obviously liberal) would state blithely how George W. Bush needed to be killed, and was serious about it.
The left is too selfish to care about life, and they’re too selfish to engage in the self-reflection required to figure that out.
Here’s the thing: PP and it’s supporters will NEVER agree that a fetus is a human being. Period. They’ll fight to the bitter end over that point, and trying to call them out on “dehumanizing” a fetus is like arguing with a brick wall.
The way to go after them here is for their own hypocracy and facism in trying to stifle opposing point of view. They’ll never acknowlege the irony of their statement with abortion, so it’s easier to hit them on how they dehumanize their pro-life opponants by dismissing them as “antis”, “terrorists” etc.
Thats the way to go after them - that they aren’t just strenuous advocates of their own beliefs but are also obsessed with delegitimizing their oppostion through dehumanization.
The Bible talks about God giving people over to their sin. It makes them insane...loving and seeking sin and lies like others love and seek out truth and God.
The Cecile Richards of the world most definitely are, yes.
However, for many people, including the ones I screenshot I humbly submit a lot of it can be explained with “they know not what they do.”
I doubt that would work, either. Hard-core leftists see conservatives as stupid, less-than-human Neanderthals. Dehumanization comes so naturally to them they don't even realize they are doing it.
I somewhat agree, but it becomes easier to twist them up into trying to defend their double standards on speech and belief, which helps prevent them from effectively shutting down pro-life dissent.
And, imho, it’s more important to do it that way anyways: the pro-life movement, and indeed Conservative movement in general, needs free speech in order to make it’s case. You can’t get to pro-life policies without first having the freedom to advocate for them.
Not exactly true. I had the opportunity to carry on an ongoing email conversation with one of the original abortionist from NY back in the 70’s. She made it very clear to me that they have always known they were killing an inborn child, but felt the woman’s future was more important than the potential of the baby. They chose the fetus label simply to try and cloud the public view of what they were doing.
Interestingly we were able to carry on a civil discourse over a period of three month. She gave me a great insight into the mindset of the abortion industry. As delusional as it seems to us they actually felt, at least during her tenure at the clinic, that they were performing a needed service and that the baby was sadly collateral damage. She also admitted that they were beginning to lose the fight because of the advancements in medical science, the radicalism of the present day abortion supporters and the fact that there are a lot of post abortive women out there now who are seeing it is their own grandchildren in the womb being threatened.
bkmk
“Dehumanizing”. Oh, that’s rich.
I have no sympathy for these people. None.
