And when I look at what the US has been standing for lately, how are we any better than the Russians?

Obozo fundamental transformation is ugly. Trump is the best hope to turn it around. Cruz has the right ideas but lacks the charisma.

Trump recognizes that at some level this is the modern world against savages.

SO you think Trump is viewing his enemies through the lens of how he can make money from them?

That’s a low and completely unfounded accusation that I don’t believe for a minute.

Maybe evolve beyond our 1982 “Cold war” mentality and realize that the Soviet Union no longer exists? That Russian no longer control millions of conscripted slave soldiers poised along the Elba River in thousands of armored vehicles?

The world has change. The die hard Cold Warriors need to evolve. The world is a much messier place these days then the old “US vs Russia” dichotomy.

that’s what I thought after 9/11, Bush literally reached out to the Russians only to have his hand slapped away- I thought from 1991-2003 we might form some sort of alliance with the US, we do have a lot in common

After they started rolling over Obama, canceling the anti missile system in Poland and Czech Republic, I realized they were again dangerous and seek control over E Europe yet again

After Georgia and ‘little green men’ in Ukraine I again realized what scumbags the Russians are. NOW with the olympic doping, just like USSR

I fear they only are out to gain permanent advantage in the ME and any deals with the US will result in them making out like bandits due to the serial incompetency of the Obama regime

I DO NOT want the bumbling Obama White House forming alliances and doing lousy, permanently damaging ‘deals’ with the Kremlin... NO good will come of it

The Russians themselves consider Russia to be our enemy!

IT is SAME as with Iran... you can give them all you want, they’ll still hate you and use the USA as a political foil because they are corrupt governments with lousy economics and consumer technology... so the HAVE to have America as a permanent, outside threat that Putin and the Ayatollahs are ‘saving’ their people from

The Russians were never -and will never be- our friends. Patton was right, should have rolled on to Moscow in Spring of 1946... and they killed him for it.

Have you ever been to Russia or Eastern Europe?

Not all that impressive in terms of civilization, esp Russian countryside

“Keep your friends close, but your enemies even closer.”

This I pretty much agree with... just afraid out guy is going to get fleeced, the Kremlin wouldn’t do any deal that didn’t give them massive advantage

We need to de tangle our space programs too... imho
