The University of Missouri will implement mandatory “diversity and inclusion training for all faculty, staff, and students” in the wake of accusations of widespread racism on campus, reports College Fix.

The campuswide edict from Chancellor R. Bowen Loftin was prompted partly by an incident on campus Oct. 4 when an intoxicated person shouted “racist accusations” and “the N-word” at a group called the Legion of Black Collegians. Student government president Payton Head reported that he was called a “racial slur” by a man in a passing truck.

Loftin responded to the incident in a written and recorded message:

“Our police and Student Conduct investigators have been aggressive in identifying responsible individuals and disciplining them quickly." He concluded that “what we have been doing on campus to address racism has not been enough.”

Will diversity training be required of football fans entering the stadium for games? I just have this odd feeling that the NCAA (after the 21 Nov game there at the stadium) will question the legit status of the school and request they cancel the remainder of the season and think about the future of NCAA football there.

If you were looking for the perfect way to get naive people engaged and charged up over a fake scandal....this is four-star. With a Nazi swastika...it ought to be Jewish students all disturbed, and I’ve yet to see one single Jewish kid from the campus saying anything.

My prediction is after the 21 Nov game....the NCAA will step in and cancel the remaining games of the season. If I were a parent of a kid at the school...I’d have the book out and review other colleges for a spring entry....giving up on this campus. Tuition and board costs $21,000 a year. I wouldn’t stand for any misbehavior on campus for that kind of money (almost the cost of a brand-new pick-up each and every year).

There was a ‘feces Swastika’ on a bathroom wall. No proof who did that or for what reason. Certainly disgusting. Saying that’s got anything to do with blacks is a stretch.

There’s the leader of the group saying he got yelled the ‘n-word’ to him by a passing truck.

The Chancellor responded with diversity classes required by ALL incoming students.

This likely had more to do with the questioning of Planned Parenthood during the national video / baby parts selling. Apparently the chancellor had questioned having PP on campus.

This was a turning point though. It shows the loons are completely running the nuthouse of modern universities.

With the internet, costs of college should be going down 10-20% per year. Recorded lectures, long-distance learning, Skype, etc. There’s really no excuse for the crazy costs being charged by universities.

It’s really a scam of government-backed loans that young people are encouraged to take out for preparation for the work world.

Ironically, the anti-capitalist training they receive has them voting for the very policies that ensure their future failure.

Do net-based university classes and toss 90% of these professor agitators out into the real world.

The Newspeak dictionary definition: “a subtle but offensive comment or action directed at a minority or other nondominant group that is often unintentional or unconsciously and reinforces a stereotype”

Let me explain. If you are white, you cannot be a victim of microaggression, only a perpetrator. If you are black, you get to decide what is microaggression and what isn't. If you are the perpetrator you can commit this crime unintentionally or unconsciously.

Now that we have a definition it only remains to pass legislation and proscribe punishment. This is a simple extension of the process that brought you "hate speech" and "hate crime".

Turning point? Not even close. If anything, University administrators (including Presidents) will look at this precedent and soil themselves with fear. You have a University President and Chancellor who were basically driven out by a football team for essentially no good reason.The sane thing to do would have been to yank the football scholarships and cancel the rest of the season.

When you see University Presidents start to grow a pair in response to similar behavior, that will signal a turning point. Unfortunately, I think things will get a lot worse before they get better. Ironically, the turning point may come if they start trying to fire tenured faculty because of alleged bias. Unlike Presidents, the faculty will not just go quietly.

I agree 100%. Like most liberals, they thought they would get eaten last—now they are finding out that is not the case. Of course, liberals are good at adaption and survival. They will come up with a strategy for dealing with this. My spider-sense tells me it will involve putting most minority (Black) students on “scholarship”.
