Which makes sense because Politico is the worst web site in the world
The Ben Carson/West Point story has taken some pretty absurd turns the past couple of days, which is what usually happens when a media feeding frenzy like this starts. One Detroit political reporter was actually bragging (!) that his paper had three reporters working on an assignment to check Gen. William Westmorelandâs schedule from 1969 to find out if he actually had dinner with Carson.
And it all started when the worst web site in the world claimed Carson had admitted he fabricated a passage in his book about being offered a scholarship to West Point during the aforementioned dinner with Westmoreland. I thought it looked pretty bad too when it came out on Friday (and I still think Carson wrote the book passage in a misleading way, although probably unintentionally), but boy oh boy, did Carson come out swinging on Friday and ever since.
The press on this must be from another planet.
They just don’t get it. These political attacks on the “outsider” candidates merely solidifies their credentials as “outsiders”. The old “slander and smear” style DC politics are dead this year.
Only in a PC, it "depends on what the meaning of 'is' is, semantically-controlled-media-world mindset would one even think to question whether a man who was relating an event from his distant past might not remember then, as now, a common understanding of a conversation about being a young Black man from an impoverished setting, in the presence of a famous General whose praise of that young man had included a comment that, with his outstanding academic record, he could get into and attend West Point for free (translated then and now as "a scholarship").
We can only imagine how a reporter for Politico defines a "free ride" to college these days, one who has fallen under the spell of those pseudo-intellectual "progressives" who now wish to rewrite the dictionaries, give their own mind-control definitions to common terms, and dictate to the rest of us how we "evaluate" presidential candidates; but, this one thing we know: Ben Carson's life record of achievement and contributions to humanity will far outlive that little reporter's miniscule words, no matter how one defines them.
Decent Americans, whether they favor Dr. Carson for President or not, may reject such attempts to play with their minds on such a serious subject.
So are the old write a narrative to fit the agenda tactics.
Honest Ben?? oops
I have not read his book but have found that sometimes when he speaks it leans toward a disjointed, meandering fashion. Has anyone read his book?
He is using the media almost as well as Donald Trump. The primary objection to Ben Carson from conservatives was that he is not enough of a “fighter”. So they attack him, and give him the opportunity to prove his chops.
Go media! This batch of candidates is making mince meat of you. Exactly what we need to restore our nation.
The only time I seen Carson fully awake and enjoying himself is when he was with Al Sharpton.

Politico is Hillary’s coven, started after she lost to Obama in ‘08 to plot her comeback. She is ruthless and will stop at nothing to become president. Corruption and determination are her only steadfast principles.
i.e."I didn't say that, you misunderstood, I said this"
Alinsky probably taught it, the Clintons uses it, Obama perfected it, and Carson took note of how it works to an advantage. JMO
ping for later
Excellent post.
