Last weekâs hyperbolized release of surveillance video taken on the patio of the Waco Twin Peaks on May 17 hardly qualifies as evidence of anything. CNN correspondent Ed Lavandera reports that âa fight and shootout erupts just off cameraâ¦. The reaction tells the story of the chaos and horrific scene that unfolds as the gunshots start exploding.â
There might be more to the story than CNN can see.
Just before an edit, a couple of Cossacks climb over the railing toward the confrontation. After the edit, Cossacks scramble over the railing back to the now deserted patio. One Cossack draws a pistol but canât find a target. Others just outside the patio go down on the ground as if they have been ordered to do so by the police. The only indication of what is happening in the parking lot is in the overexposed, upper left corner. A man is clearly shot there and falls although his killer is invisible.
Unleaked Videos
The video tantalizes. It doesnât explain. There is at least one, as yet undiscovered and unleaked video that could show exactly what happened, second by second in the parking lot between the Twin Peaks and Don Carlos restaurants that day. It was a âcovert cameraâ that has also been described as a âpolecam.â Polecam is a term used by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The Texas Department of Public Safety is more inclined to use the term âcovert camera.â There was one installed to survey the parking lot that day. DPS Lieutenant Steven Schwartz put it there.
In pre-trial hearings so far, Schwartz has testified as an âoutlaw motorcycle gang expert.â He became an expert an expert in outlaw motorcycle gangs âThrough training and experience. Iâve attended thousands hours of training to get to the position where Iâm at, at this point in time in TECOLE registered hours. (TECOLE is cop cant for the Texas Commission On Law Enforcement.) Iâve attended investigative training courses with regards to gangs, narcotics, and then also participated in numerous investigations regarding narcotics and gang activityâ
Schwartz and prosecutors have also seen and entered into evidence another video that might contribute to the story of what happened at the Twin Peaks that day beyond a âshootout erupts.â However, the astounding brevity of that video explains what seems to have happened to the polecam video and why it will never show what the public has a right to expect it might show.
The Short Video
âLieutenant Schwartz, what are we looking at here,â prosecutor Michael Jarrett asked at an examining trial for a defendant named Burton George Bergman.
"This is the north side of Twin Peaks in the Central Market Place parking lotâ the gang expert replied.
"And there are officers in marked police vehicles at this point?â
"Yes, sir. There were multiple marked units in the parking lot, in and around Twin Peak.â
Many videos. There were many videos. This one showed Bergman riding into the Twin Peaks parking lot in a pack that included Bandidos but it didnât show him heading for a restroom a few seconds later. Bergman parked in front of the Twin Peaks âright near where the shooting happenedâ and walked toward the Don Carlos.
Schwartz described Bergmanâs parking space as âa front row seat.â
Canât Answer That
Eventually Bergmanâs attorney, Clint Broden, asked Schwartz about the video that put Bergman at the scene of the crimes.
âNow we saw a very short portion of the video,â Broden began. âWhat do you think that was, the video we watched? I thinkâ¦about 30 seconds to a minute?â
âSure,â Schwartz agreed.
âAnd you heard Mr. Bergmanâs statement that soon afterâ¦he pulled off and needed to use the restroom. You heard that statement, correct?â
âI did.â
âAnd that was afterâ¦after he pulled off, after that video we saw he started heading towards Don Carlosâ restaurant. You heard that statement?â
âThatâs what he stated, yes.â
âOkay. And I guess Iâm going to ask you if you had that video, why didnât we see the rest of it where he starts heading towards the Don Carlosâ restrooms?â
âI canât answer that.â
âOkay. Well, did you look at the rest of the video?â
At that point Jarrett interrupted and explained, âJudge, I will tell the Court that thatâs the entirety of that video, so this accusation that thereâs some other part of the video thatâs not been shown. Thatâs the entirety of that video.â
The judge, James Morgan, said âAlright.â
Broden wondered, âOkay. Where did that video come from?â
âThatâs from a camera off of a Waco police unit, I believe,â Schwartz said.
âAnd is there a reason they stopped the camera at the point the video ended by Mr. Jarrettâs representation,â Broden wondered.
And the motorcycle gang expert explained, âI cannot answer that.â
Yep. Bumpity-bump.
If the intentionally "missing" video is ever seen, who-ever is caught on it doing illegal acts... Well, that tells us who is really pulling the strings here, who is really being protected.
Do you think anyone is editing and withholding video to protect a few bikers that they are simultaneously trying to prosecute? ...
Very, very interesting.
Stumbled onto this comment from Ireland to an article:
“Martin ,there are loads of bike clubs in the UK and Ireland ,but they will not get together , One The thing they do not realize is that the biking community will soon be put down by the elite in Government , because they are so happy with partying and drinking and doing their own thing they cannot see it , Even Hells Angels around the world are teaming up with normal bike clubs in protest at what is going on, But over here in the British isles ? ITS ALL ? MARKS . No bike community any more , Our biking days are numbered.”
Swanton’s interview stating “facts” - hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! As if. He wouldn’t know a fact if it walked up, introduced itself and smack him in the face.
The LEO said they had set up cameras proving they were there ready to fight and use their weapons. The bikers’ lawyers need to demand the GJ see the video of the cop planting evidence under the white vehicle.
