R.E.S.P.E.C.T. for TED CRUZ Coming from Some of the Strangest Places...
Reaganite Republican ^ | 02 November 2015 | Reaganite Republican

It's not just Carville anymore...

Eleanor Clift (!): 'Ted Cruz... has a lot of money, has big donors...
he has a structure that he has put in place. He actually has a plan to
win the presidency- I think he's been underestimated until this debate-

he even showed a flash of humor. He's the one to watch,
especially if Trump begins to fade...'

Mary Matalin (Former top political advisor to Bushes 41/43)
'My money right now is on Ted Cruz... I think he speaks to the myriad factions of conservatism: Constitutionalists, Libertarians, the social conservatives...
he's whip-smart, as evidenced by his debate appearances, and he's a true, true, true constitutionalist- and everything's lining up for him.'

Huffington Post: 'Face It: Ted Cruz Won The Republican Debate'...
'trounced the outsider candidates'... 'Rubio might have put Jeb Bush
down for the count, but Cruz denied him access to the 'outsider bloc.' '

Daily Beast: 'Jedi debate skills'

Chris Cillizza @ WaPo: 'Ted Cruz is running the best campaign
of any presidential candidate'

Twitter: A single idea from the human mind can build cities. An idea can transform the World and rewrite all the rules.

I think they believe that Cruz might be their Trump-beater.

That's good news.

But, surprisingly to me, Cruz is catching flak from some of the Trump or Die crowd here at FR. OTOH, my sense of the Trump vs. Cruz business is that Trump, if he gets the nomination will have the Cruz supporters on his side. He will have mine.

But I could be wrong. It happened once. It could happen again.

What’s with the bird with arrow?

Like the ‘Rampant Colt’......only with a bird.

They would love to see Cruz win the nomination and lose in a landslide to Hillary sealing the country’s fate for the next 4 if not 8 years which would essentially complete the transformation. Notwithstanding Cruz’s strengths, they are not afraid of Cruz. They and their compatriots in the Media Super-Pac will completely marginalize Cruz as an obstructionist, extremist and bought and paid for by large money donors. They are terrified of Trump, his position on immigration that is resonating and driving the narrative and the fact he is beholden to no one.

That is the ‘Mockingjay’ symbol from ‘Hunger Games’ rebel group leader...
who Cruz is now being compared to in this campaign.

It is street art aimed at young libertarians

Exactly!
Should Ted REALLY want Eleanor Clift or Mary Matelin as his cheerleader?
Does he?
Who is next......Karl Rove!

It’s the mockingjay from the hunger games. VERY popular with young and old alike. It represents Katniss’s revolt against an oppressive government.

I am a Cruz guy all the way but have NEVER trashed Trump-
I thought it best to follow Cruz’s lead on the issue, he considers him an ally for the time being.

I would suggest Trump supporters show the same respect to Cruz as he has shown to Donald Trump. He’s the only one Trump hasn’t attacked... his supporters think that means he wants THEM to do it? I doubt that greatly.

Defense is my big issue and I don’t like Trump’s softness on the Russians at all... but Trump might be my second choice anyway, I don’t like Carson or Rubio much.

I am for Trump. I think its time to put a business man in the office. If I have to settle for Cruz....life is good.

They’re not afraid of God either, but that doesn’t make them winners.

Cruz is pretty level headed, no worries

But the one that surprised me was Eleanor Clift-
wonder what she’s up to

Notwithstanding Cruz’s strengths, they are not afraid of Cruz. They and their compatriots in the Media Super-Pac will completely marginalize Cruz as an obstructionist, extremist and bought and paid for by large money donors.

Democrats are not afraid of Cruz because they think they are fighting a conventional Republican. Cruz' ability to articulate the merits of conservatism makes him an unconventional candidate. He is unafraid of conflict and conveys the message of an outsider. He is on the right side of the immigration, budget and Middle East issues.

The Democrats have a military general (Hillary!) who is fighting the last war, not the current war. If the Republicans put up the right candidate (Cruz) they will win with coat tails.

Before the season started they were all loaded for bear to make Cruz out to be crazy. Now that they see Trump’s train coming at them they are pumping up Cruz.
