And to be fair, Clinton mostly didn't screw it up, either- he believed in political 'triangulation' when practical -unlike the radical, deranged Obama regime- Newt Gingrich can be thanked for much of Bill Clinton's 'success' too.
But without labeling it as such, Trump is appealing to left-center-and-right, black-white-and-brown by offering another Clinton era -at least what people remember it to be: good times, jobs everywhere, money to be made, peace for the most part at home and abroad, balanced budgets, etc.
I am a Cruz backer myself, and obviously don't consider Trump to be the same kind of 'conservative' as the heroic Texas senator. I also disagree with The Donald on Putin/Russia, Ukraine, Syria, entitlements, big government construction projects, government-provided health care, etc.
That said, Trump is giving a large slice of the electorate just what they seem to want- the good parts of the Bill Clinton era with border controls, basically.
Trump even offers to finish unfulfilled '92 Bill Clinton campaign promises by providing a 'TrumpCare' alternative to the current mess. Trump's health care plan that seems to vary little from the goals of 1990s' HillaryCare, which went nowhere at the time but later arose in an even more hideous form, ObamaCare. Trump says his will actually work.

just rec’d this great email:
If you’re under 50 you really need to read this . If youre over 50, you lived through it, so share it with those under 50. Amazing to me how much I had forgotten!
When Bill Clinton was president, he allowed Hillary to assume authority over a health care reform. Even after threats and intimidation, she couldnt even get a vote in a democratic controlled congress. This fiasco cost the American taxpayers about $13 million in cost for studies,
promotion, and other efforts.
Then President Clinton gave Hillary authority over selecting a female attorney general. Her first two selections were Zoe Baird and Kimba Wood both were forced to withdraw their names from consideration. Next she chose Janet Reno husband Bill described her selection as my worst mistake. Some may not remember that Reno made the decision to gas David Koresh and the Branch Davidian religious sect in Waco, Texas resulting in dozens of deaths of women and children.
Husband Bill allowed Hillary to make recommendations for the head of the Civil Rights Commission. Lani Guanier was her selection. When a little probing led to the discovered of Ms. Guaniers radical views, her name had to be withdrawn from consideration.
Apparently a slow learner, husband Bill allowed Hillary to make some more recommendations. She chose former law partners Web Hubbel for the Justice Department, Vince Foster for the White House staff, and William Kennedy for the Treasury Department. Her selections went well: Hubbel went to prison, Foster (presumably) committed suicide, and Kennedy was forced to resign.
Many younger votes will have no knowledge of Travelgate. Hillary wanted to award unfettered travel contracts to Clinton friend Harry Thompson and the White House Travel Office refused to comply. She managed to have them reported to the FBI and fired. This ruined their reputations, cost them their jobs, and caused a thirty-six month investigation. Only one employee, Billy Dale was charged with a crime, and that of the enormous crime of mixing personal and White House funds. A jury acquitted him of any crime in less than two hours.
Still not convinced of her ineptness, Hillary was allowed to recommend a close Clinton friend, Craig Livingstone, for the position of Director of White House security. When Livingstone was investigated for the improper access of about 900 FBI files of Clinton enemies (Filegate) and the widespread use of drugs by White House staff, suddenly Hillary and the president denied even knowing Livingstone, and of course, denied knowledge of drug use in the White House. Following this debacle, the FBI closed its White House Liaison Office after more than thirty years of service to seven presidents.
Next, when women started coming forward with allegations of sexual harassment and rape by Bill Clinton, Hillary was put in charge of the bimbo eruption and scandal defense. Some of her more notable decisions in the debacle was:
She urged her husband not to settle the Paula Jones lawsuit. After the Starr investigation they settled with Ms. Jones.
She refused to release the Whitewater documents, which led to the appointment of Ken Starr as Special Prosecutor. After $80 million dollars of taxpayer money was spent, Starr’s investigation led to Monica Lewinsky, which led to Bill lying about and later admitting his affairs.
Hillarys devious game plan resulted in Bill losing his license to practice law for ‘lying under oath’ to a grand jury and then his subsequent impeachment by the House of Representatives.
Hillary avoided indictment for perjury and obstruction of justice during the Starr investigation by repeating, I do not recall, I have no recollection, and I dont know a total of 56 times while under oath.
After leaving the White House, Hillary was forced to return an estimated $200,000 in White House furniture, china, and artwork that she had stolen.
What a swell party ready for another four or eight year of this type low-life mess?
Now we are exposed to the destruction of possibly incriminating emails while Hillary was Secretary of State and the pay to play schemes of the Clinton Foundation we have no idea what shoe will fall next. But to her loyal fans - what difference does it make?
Electing Hillary Clinton president would be like granting Satan absolution and giving him the keys to heaven!
And just think, since leaving the White House, the Clinton’s, through 2014, have made $221,139,576.00 and BOTH are drawing taxpayer funded U. S. Government pensions.
Please pass this on. Our way of life may depend on it.
Of course there are still those who believe that the economy was never so good as when Bill was president! Bill looks like a broken down old man now, and more pictures of him should be circulated!
My 26 year old acquaintances were shocked when I called bill a rapist. They had never heard this news and were shocked!
And after all that, when a federal judge ruled that the records from that task force should be made public, she ordered them shredded rather than let the American people see exactly what she'd done. When she was fined ($400K IIRC) for contempt of court over it, she even stuck the taxpayers with that fine.
Trump’s healthcare plan is absolutely nothing like Hillarycare—at least get your facts straight!
“the heroic Texas senator.”
Did heroism prompt him to vote for the Corker bill? TPA?
Clinton was a weasel politician who corrupted his way into the presidency. Comparing Trump to Clinton is nonsense.
Trump has a lot more accomplishment in his resume. I don’t like Trump because he reminds me of Bill Clinton. The thought is repulsive.
He does look bad
I said TrumpCare ‘shares much of the same goals’ as HillaryCare
Trump said he’s going to cover everybody, that’s most of it right there-
although I like what he says about allowing interstate competition and repealing Obamacare branch-and-root
Thank you for posting that. It needs be spread. I wonder if it could be put up on billboards?

The Trump healthcare proposal is not out yet. He has revealed some highlights though and they are nothing like what Hillary proposed in 1993. They involve bringing down the state barriers to competition which will result in busting up the health insurance monopolies and making efficient deals with hospitals and clinics that cut out a lot of the insurance bloat and delay. He also alluded to the problem of medicare ballooning costs because of overcharges.
Trump’s plan is shaping up to be nothing, nothing like Hillary Clinton’s.
He was simply referring to the current Medicaid for those who can’t afford his free market plans with interstate competition, health savings accounts—and yes, complete Obamacare repeal.
Again, you really shouldn’t post such blatant misinformation.
Thanks for the walk through Memory Lane. More than anything else in this election cycle, I hope to see the lid finally come off the Clinton corruption pot for all to see in all its gory.
Thank you all for thanking me;) I get these really great emails from an old friend.
IMHO, Hillary was Bubba’s Valerie Jarret. Clinton is not that bright. Have you ever heard him make an intellectual statement? The both of them just skated through their college days and were able to fool Arkansas with their phony Southern demeanor. Chelsea was a prop to make them appear to be a ‘family’ which we all know was/is phony.
Trump has offered a viable solution to the V.A. mess, of which I am a patient, and a former employee. That, too, is a ‘healthcare program’, that was EARNED by many of my brothers and sisters of the cloth, unlike this other healthcare garbage for the porch monkeys.
the clintons believe in NOTHING .... except outright corruption, selling out america, enriching themselves and ACCRUING POWER TO ACCOMPLISH THOSE GOALS
RECENTLY AS SOS USING BLUEMENTHAL as a front to cut a deal with BP and RDS.... by murdering Khadaffy and taking bribes via the “clinton foundation”..
Also having a muslim brotherhood close advisor...
Bill gave LORAL to sell out the USA sat and sub secrets
just two examples of the clinton corruption
Hillary is pure evil a pragmatic opportunist and desperate for power.....
Bill is salivating at the thought of “training” the interns
I just saw an ad for Princess Hillary and her latest women are victims message. I would love to see Trump/Carson/GOP nominee ask Princess Hillary if, as president, she would be willing to expand selective service requirements to females. In order to get college loans, males are required. And as such, young women may have to be drafted in order to fight for their country. Equality, you know?
Trump hasn’t published his official healthcare plan yet.
In 2011 is stated he said we needed to repeal Obamacare and instead make insurance available across sate lines. He also said we needed serious tort reform including loser pay.
His remarks on single payer were stated in his book published in 2000. So he has evolved on this issue, no matter what the media and GOPe would like for you to believe.
