Actually more than forty years, they were married in 1974. She was unable to speak English at her wedding so part of the ceremony was conducted in Spanish. This after consorting with !Jeb for four years having met him when he was teaching English as a second language on his summer do-good ticket punching tour.
There is little know about her education beyond a terse statement that she attended a private Catholic school without mention of level of achievement. Allegedly, she was sixteen when she met Jeb, though like Obama, no birth certificate is in evidence. It's doubtful that she finished at a high school level.
Having grabbed her gold ticket by marrying a silly rich gringo who spoke only Spanish to her she has had little incentive to learn her husband's cradle tongue. He, on the other hand, has so identified with her nationality that he identified himself as hispanic on his most recent voter registration form. This was followed by a chiding tweet by son George may have been a political set up to garner votes, but it does show his alienation from his American roots.
