I hate zoos. I didn't as a girl but do now.

We did have a chance to visit game preserves in Kenya. We went to nine of them. THAT is where the zoo animals belong. That is where I learned to hate zoos.

San Diego has the least inhumane "zoo." Would that all "zoos" here could be like that.

I like zoos. It give so many an opportunity to see cool critters that can’t afford a dozen safari’s.

What you say is true.

I can't BEAR to see the lions and elephants...such creatures penned up in cages, being fed like babies. The other animals don't bother me so much, but to see those two species....

There is a big difference between Yankee zoos and Southern zoos.

Yankee zoos have a plaque with the animal's name in English and then, below it, in Latin.

Southern zoos have a plaque the animal's name in English and then, below it, a recipe.
