At the moment there's little confidence that whoever replaces Boehner him will be better, but that's a damn low bar.
There's a lot of meme's out there about the guy, but virtually none of them are pro-Boehner. In fact, here are 9 that appear to be made by those on his own side. This is what a refusal to lead on behalf of your voter-base looks like. If you don't have your base then you have nothing, because your enemies aren't going to pick up your slack. The next Speaker of the House would do very well to remember this.

The last one with Boner as the Cowardly Lion is perfect. You can photoshop a lot of people into that costume, but Boner looks like he could be the real Cowardly Lion's brother.
