My Republican nephew thinks Trump doesn't have the temperament to deal with the bureaucracy after being the king of his universe all this time. I think Trump will figure it out.
As I’ve posted earlier, if Trump goes down, don’t expect YOUR guy to pick up the mantle. Cruz just doesn’t have cross over appeal with Hispanics, blacks, or Reagan Democrats. Heck, he probably won’t pick up any D voters like Trump is either. The best we can hope for is a Trump/Cruz ticket to clean up Washington.
A wall is an important symbol, a rallying point for the issue. Plus it will accomplish something even if your 10% figure is correct.
The rest has to be done by e-verify with stiff fines to businesses hiring illegals and making sure that government benefits are only going to citizens. Once illegals have to rely on private charity to stay here, it won't last long.
Stiff fines for illegal employers ? No. Prison sentences.

I don’t believe a physical wall/fence is going to stop illegal immigration any more than banning guns will disarm criminals. I’m hoping that part of any plan to curb illegal immigration includes removing all the many, many, many incentives that entice folks to sneak in. I’d like to see *heavy* punitive measures in place for employers of illegals, from the CEO to the board of directors on down to the site forman/office manager to the joe-blow citizen paying day laborers to mow grass.
If Trump has addressed *why* illegals are flooding in, I have not heard it. I just hear him crowing about building a fence, as if that’s all it will take. To be fair, I haven’t heard much from any of the candidates on cutting off the enticements.
So Trump is not my first choice (or my second or third choice). HOWEVER; if Trump wins the nomination, I will DANG-SURE vote for him over anything - I mean *Anything* - the Dems will run. Heck, I’d vote for a sack of cow manure just to register a vote *against* Biden, Clinton or Sanders!!
To all the Trump supporters, rest easy knowing that Trump’s attractiveness ranges from “Awesome-Super-Fantastic-HYOOOOOGE!” -to- “at-least-as-attractive-as-a-sack-of-manure”, both of which are far more attractive than all identified Dem candidates. If Trump makes it to the General, he should be a shoe in!
