I disagree. What needs to be smashed to bits is the Media News/Entertainment industries.
Entertainment media constantly shows aberrations while depicting them as normal, "news" constantly omits stories which reflect badly on their ideology, and spin all other news to attack their political opponents or boost their political ideas.
Our children are getting poisoned by both the "news" and "entertainment" industries, and we would probably be better off if both industries were destroyed and reconstituted.
Anybody supporting abortion and gay anything and government takeover of healthcare is a wolf in sheeps clothing, like the wolf we have now, but obviously a better entertainer.
Wrong. We are. We consume that media and we elect those politicians. This is more of the same milquetoast pusillanimous pablum I've come to expect from the senior citizen brigade.
"Don't destroy the Constitution. Destroy the unconstitutional edifices that have been erected on its foundation." What prattle. So we'll give Trump a shot at it. Uh huh. Maybe sprinkle in a little Article V fairy dust to go along with it and just maybe all will be well.
What's the hope here? That Trump will appoint Supreme Court Justices more in alignment with our way of thinking and maybe we won't wait with baited breath every June wondering which way the winds of the SC will blow this term?
Maybe get us a convention which adopts constitutional amendments prohibiting abortion and homomarriage? Repeals the 16th and 17th amendments? I'll believe that when I see it.
When the Constitution has been usurped by those who would destroy this nation the answer is not to attempt to use that which the enemy controls. It makes for a great moral argument, but that's all it's good for. Pining for the, "good 'ol days". Blah, blah, blah.
Why is Trump surging? Nationalism and populism. Not constitutionalism. Even Cruz can't make successful inroads with that kind of rhetoric. We live in a post-constitutional society now. You want it back? You're gonna have to destroy it first.
