I happened to be in Germany when the current refugee/asylum crisis struck. Indeed, for about a week I was in Berlin, the capital, in the Kreutzberg section of town, which happens to be about as multicultural as any thirty square block area in Germany. I did a “brown bag” seminar, as they are called, at the Aspen Institute, and also lucked into a fairly long meeting with an old friend who now works as a special assistant to the German President, Joachim Gauck.
All anyone wanted to talk about, really, was the refugee crisis, and the first feeling that came to the fore was how proud—indeed astonishingly so—everyone was at the outpouring of welcome encouragement, volunteerism, and outright nobility on display in Munich and elsewhere around (most of) the country. Even columnists in Handelsblatt were blushing with pride.
Sober souls, my old friend among them in the 1994 “disappearing” black office building right next to Bellevueschloss, the President’s sprawling office complex, are counting mounting costs and waiting for the next shoe to drop. They know it will, even as they share in the wonderment that refugees far away in the Middle East could think of Germany as a country of hope. Few people say it out loud, but it’s the image of Germans welcoming “others” on in-bound trains from the east—from Hungary, very telegenically, when I was there—that arrests their attention. What a contrast with the pictures of other Germans in an earlier time shipping “others” to the east, on out-bound trains, to places like Treblinka and Auschwitz.

This is going to end very badly for Germany. They are under an intense spirit of delusion. Delusion similar to the pure emotional response, sans rationality, that American Liberals display. It will not take long until these refugees start turning German society upside down. It may take a year or two, but it will not be long until these refugees start demanding that German society change, while they enjoy ever growing public benefits.
The mosques will certainly come, and then comes the restlessness, disaffection, and society will go into a tailspin as the most liberal among Germans will side with the poor, poor refugees and they slowly suck the lifeblood from their German hosts.
Two years -- tops -- before this starts playing out.
This is what government media domination has done. As well as remembering the killing of the Jews they should remember that even that was brought about by one-party domination of news and information.
My question is this:
“What kind of security is going to be present, when oktoberfest kicks off in a few weeks?”
White German guilt.
Question - 50 years from now who will be seen as the greater villain, Hitler or Merkel?
I had an interesting but depressing conversation with two young women from Germany in a train station in Portland, Oregon this morning. I overheard their accents and asked if they were from there.
I asked them what was going on. They shared my worry but were critical of the response of the Poles and Hungarians, calling them antirefugee.
I couldn’t help but come to the defense of their neighbors to the east, arguing that their response should not be interpreted as xenophobic but rather one of self defense. I tried to make the argument that just as one wouldn’t let strangers invade their home so nations should defend their borders.
These two young ladies were very polite and did not argue back. They may even have seen me as some old white American crank. But I told them God Bless and stay safe.

The EU has depression level unemployment, with 30-60% unemployment in the young.
Say that these millions of new “refugees” from the Middle East get welfare that the locals don’t or preference for programs over natives, and you have the conditions for a nationalist to rise up in every nation in that union.
Every society knows - you take care of the poor inside your own gates FIRST, not the foreigners.
There was a thread here recently that announced that Saudi Arabia has pledged to build 200 mosques in Germany.

Anyway, the Germans make great porno flicks. They’re better than the ones made here. Americans have way too many sex hangups. The Germans have none. If you don’t know German it adds to the allure because even though you can plainly see what they’re doing, you can’t figure out what they’re saying while they’re doing it.
Where is Merkel? I don't think she has spoken publicly on this matter yet.

In 2006 31% of Kreutzberg were already non-German born, predominately Turkish.
Kreutzberg is also historically homosexual, it’s always had a massive gay and bisexual scene....it’s always been Europe’s equivalent of San Francisco’s Castro area.
In the 1970s Kreutzberg was the Heroin-Junkie capital of Europe and for the past decade has been returning to this.
So the writer of this article must be delusional or just smoking the ganja, because Kreutzberg ISN’T any sort of gauge of GERMAN thinking or OPINION.
A place full of Turks, gays, lesbians, transsexuals, pimps and whores, junkies and crackheads ISN’T German thinking or opinion.
It’s a good thing you have a REAL citizen of Europa, who’s visited pretty much every country on my Continent and spent time there and has many European friends....so you can get a more honest opinion than that fool writers giving.
