Wynken, Blynken, and Nod one night
Sailed off in a wooden shoe
Sailed on a river of crystal light,
Into a sea of dew.
"Where are you going, and what do you wish?"
The old moon asked the three.
"We have come to fish for the herring fish
That live in this beautiful sea;
Nets of silver and gold have we!"
Said Wynken, Blynken, and Nod
con·tempt (kən-tĕmpt′) n. The feeling or attitude of regarding someone or something as inferior, base, or worthless; scorn. a feeling that someone or something is not worthy of any respect or approval.
Closely related to:
dis·dain (disˈdān) n. The feeling that a person or thing is beneath one's dignity and unworthy of one's notice, respect, or concern
I think that pretty much nails it.
If I had that much fun on vacation I think Id just stay home and catch up on my sleep.
All night long their nets they threw
To the stars in the twinkling foam
Then down from the skies came the wooden shoe,
Bringing the fishermen home;
'Twas all so pretty a sail it seemed
As if it could not be,
And some folks thought 'twas a dream they'd dreamed
Of sailing that beautiful sea
But I shall name you the fishermen three:
Wynken, Blynken, and Nod.
Wynken and Blynken are two little eyes,
And Nod is a little head,
And the wooden shoe that sailed the skies
Is a wee one's trundle-bed.
So shut your eyes while mother sings
Of wonderful sights that be,
And you shall see the beautiful things
As you rock in the misty sea,
Where the old shoe rocked the fishermen three:
Wynken, Blynken, and Nod

Thanks for posting the photo. I’d read it referred to in another thread earlier this morning but seeing it is revealing. The childhood rhyme was cool, too.
Malaria was p*ssed that they didn’t fly in her new car like they did for the Hawaii Christmas vacay.
“Why do we have to go on these crappy, taxpayer paid *vacations*, anyway?”
(I don’t think I’ve EVER seen a more sour, unappreciative group.)
Worst President in American History - nobody can be happy with that.
Four letter word: Begins with 'H' ends with 'MO'
Plenty of criticism can be justly leveled at Obama and his wife, but their children seem like lovely girls; there's no reason to think otherwise.
I think this picture merely shows that the family is sad that the vacation is over.
Surely the children are not happy about having to return to school and studies and hard work.
That looks like family problems. Something personal and probably not unusual, like a health crisis or bad behavior in a teen.
