Why would any Republican want to give Obama a chance to declare a state of emergency by crashing the stock market? If there is a conspiracy the most likely billionaires behind it are Democrats. Republicans need to do everything possible to keep Obama from getting such an opportunity.

“Why would any Republican want to give Obama a chance ,,,,”

You know, the doggedness with which people hold onto the belief that the Republicans are an opposing force to the Dems and Obama,,,, such loyalty, there is truly something almost fine about it.

But at this point, it’s been 7+ years of GOP backstabbing, betrayals, excuses, outright support, inaction, enabling, etc, of the Democrat agenda and the Obama presidency. The GOPe actually IS in league with the progressives. No other conclusion makes sense.

There is one billionaire people are watching while they are NOT watching the markets.

It must be the fault of a secret conspiracy, not because so many are dumping their retirement savings into the market during a bubble. When you pump in billions every day that have to invest in something - anything - you will typically have a near constantly rising market.

Eventually someone’s going to go ‘hey, you know, my money isn’t worth anything until I actually cash out’ and then that sell out triggers another which triggers another and pretty soon the big computer programs kick in to protect those billions going in to retirement accounts every day and start selling as well.

Then the real bloodbath begins.

Time for people to put their big boy pants on and actually pay attention to what they’re investing in.

Rumors, conspiracies! Free Republic is better than this. I can churn out this sort of imaginary drivel all day if I want to (I write fiction). We need to see solid references and sources.

Exactly. A law like this would allow Obozo to arrest people he doesn’t like every time stocks go down.
I can’t believe people can write things as stupid as this.
He already is using the FBI to track people he dislikes because of his paranoid beliefs.

Markets rise and fall, for crying out loud. Bear markets are a fact of life. No tinfoil needed.

What do you think happened in 2008?

First off, you have to consider the source, a British left wing POS posing as a news source when in actuality it is a purveyor of propaganda. Next the guy calls himself reasonmclucus, really? Most people of reason that I know do not engage in such drivel as this, so why would anyone pay any attention to him. Stock market busts and booms are a part of the market. These people who are predict the timings of the busts & booms make lots of money based on their accuracy rate. Market predictors have been around almost as long as markets have been around. Time of war? Did Obama ask Congress for a declaration of war and Congress provided it? I must have missed that? I know freedom of speech is fading, but I wasn’t aware that it had gotten so bad that warning people of market conditions as they see it now is tantamount to treason. Treason? I think that Cluckus (rhymes with, well you get the picture) fellow is pointing his finger in the exact opposite direction as to where it should be pointing. Lastly, I am still waiting for the majority party in both Houses of Congress to actually do something in opposition to Obama. Has that happened also and I missed that too?

I guess this writer forgets that George Soros does this all the time. Where’s the outrage?

If we tread down the road that rounds people up for dangerous speech, we have lost all vestige of freedom. For those Soros types who would deliberately trigger a stock market tumble with some kind of economic shenanigan, already face the consequences of laws on the books.

lets realize the ‘author’ names no names nor how the person or persons is causing this. Incredibly weak. Market is adjusting for all the right reasons, mostly poor economies.

re: political affiliation of those who might intentionally crash the stock market.

It's a global club that controls the world economy. Listen to Trump. They own the politicians, and it doesn't matter which pol is in power as long as it's someone on their payroll.

Joe Kennedy shorted the stock market in October of 1929.

Got REALLY rich.

FDR wanted to clean up the insider trading in the stock market so he started the SEC.

He was known to have said (paraphrasing): ‘The only way to clean up this mess is to get a crook on our side. Get me Kennedy.’

Wasn’t it Biden who caused the crash in 2008 by talking about Stearns, or Morgan, or something?

And that Senator Bennett somebody on the banking committee warning about bank failures the summer of ‘08.... http://www.politico.com/blogs/thecrypt/0908/Key_senator_warns_another_major_bank_teetering_on_failure.html

Idiot article.
