When All the Other Black People Are WORKERS - The Victim Class Can't Cope

I was in a Grocery Outlet "value grocery", as a European-American, I was pushing my African-American wife (34 years married) in a wheelchair. Everyone else in the situation was Black or accompanying an African-American. I will only describe the circumstances, including the body language, but not using rash judgment by trying to read people's minds.

The people in front of us were two women and an child, they had held up the line to do more shopping. The guy behind me was Black and the woman White, the people behind him were both Black.

All the people behind in the line were acting like they are in public. This is the opposite of the original Greek etymological meaning of idiotes (ἰδιώτης), meaning "a person who acts in public like they're in private"

My face assumed a gargoyle-like grimace of diapproval. I think the other people behind me had looks of disapproval--mine was just extreme.

The little girl was standing there, with a shocked look on her face. The younger woman came up from her extra shopping excursion, she didn't have a look of arrogance, at the fact that more than half the people she was holding up in line were Black.

They hurried through their checkout, with a look of confusion, but without the customary arrogance of the professional victim class.

Oh. Well I have seen people of every race do that. It is as beloved by those in line as a price check and inconsiderate to those in line, but not something I have seen done so much out of arrogance in this area.

I think the author of this was thinking more than half of what he was communicating. Somehow, the necessary parts got left out. No clue to this or the reason for posting.
