Hillary: Well you know, my greatest weakness is working with those people, people working on my behalf but whom I sense might eventually become a threat. And I'm just not cut out for that. If I get the sense that someone working with me as underling or equal will eventually intercede against me, politically or criminally I lose all control and have to put an end to it (and them).
I mean, I really did like most of them and they thought they were going to do the right thing, morally, I suppose. But the bottom line is and will always be, it's gonna be me first every time, me or them and to which I'm compelled to act on while I still control things, still have a chance to remain ahead.
Vince was that way. I liked him but he told me in no uncertain words that he had the goods on Whitewater that would hang me criminally and politically and i just looked at him and thought to myself; You fool! Do you think I'm just going to stand here and have you take away everything Bill and I worked so hard for??? He was a goner from that very first moment.
