What can we do? I don’t even want to fly the U.S. flag as it depresses me so much. Elections certainly are not the answer.
Any concrete ideas?
Yes but i wont post it
Going to have a barbecue. Not because it’s the weekend of the 4th. I don’t care about that anymore. Just because it’s a nice summer weekend. There’s not much we can do anymore. We know God is angry with the USA and has some unpleasant surprises in store. All we can do is hunker down and hope the guilty ones catch most of it. And I’m too old to think a Peesident Cruz or Walker will make it all better; we’re too far gone now.
Elections could turn things around practically overnight. All that is required is for We the People to begin to demand that those who represent us represent the principles of our free republic’s founding, and keep the sacred oath of office. No compromise.
I took my flag down.
I have been reflecting a bit and humbly and with some trepidation expressing opinion in a vanity post earlier this week.
Non violent resistance is the only reasonable starting place. It isn’t right to hate or hurt others, but if non violent resistance is met with violence, escalation is likely.
I suspect propaganda and spreading fear will be used to suppress any protest movement that could arise but harsher measures than those used by Bull Connor are likely.
In 1961 some of the Freedom Riders got a taste of harsh prison life at Mississippi’s Parchman Prison.
I support Ted Cruz and a sober and sane third party alternative to the GOP, but the Republican Party will not as an institution oppose the tyranny that has descended upon us.
