I’m always amused when you see the baby mama who was 1000% sure that no good SOB is the father hearing “You are NOT the father.”
Sometimes they get a little half-smile and then quickly cover their face with their hands and start fake bawling. They never pull their hands off after that. Just Boo Hoo, “Tess is wrong!” and all that. Hands still over their face.
The reason they’ve got their hands on the face is so you can’t see there are NO TEARS. Later on, when everybody calmed down, you might see her face - makeup and eyeliner, shadow all is intact.
They go on the show for the small amount of money they get paid. It’s somewhere around $600.
I’ve always assumed when a guy is arrested on COPS and once the cameras stop rolling he’s told if he’ll sign the release he’ll get $600 and be on TV. He says “For real? Man, call my cousin, Tyrone! He got all kinds of warrants and he could use the money!”
