Just wait until GE moves to Texas.

Don't necessarily count on that. Recall spring 2001 when it seemed Texas was a lock for Boeing's corporate relocation. They ended up picking Chicago. Back then, around these parts, it was taken as a near certainty that D/FW was going to be Boeing's new home.

But now, years later, that story does end with a twist. The former Boeing CEO, Phil Condit, who opted in 2001 for the move to Chicago now lives...
...in Frisco, Texas!

Chicago *had* to be the result of pressure/payoffs/concessions. I know some people at Boeing and they said it was all but a done deal to move to Texas; right down to starting to schedule moving telecom services. They got called into a meeting and told it was going to be Chicago instead out of the blue.

However, we have Toyota coming with 4000 jobs, FedEx Office coming with 1200 jobs... And quietly announced in April was Liberty Mutual confirming that they were consolidating several offices to Dallas, bringing 5000 jobs. And they’re going to be building two new office towers.
