So let’s see. We have trains confined by rails that need 2 drivers in the cab to keep them safe because the automatic signal and speed controls are only activated in one direction, but we are going to put 100s of thousands of autonomous trucks without drivers on the same roads we all use for all kinds of travel. Sounds like a plan.

Once we are herded into cities, and private vehicles are banned, the highways will be clear for the robot powered trucks.
