A Subway sandwich shop worker whose social media posts about Saturday's killing of two police officers in Mississippi sparked outrage online said her comments were misconstrued — and now she's being threatened.
"They took the status the wrong way," Sierra McCurdy of Laurel, Mississippi, told NBC News Monday.
McCurdy wrote the Facebook post following news of the fatal shooting of two officers, Benjamin J. Deen, 34, and Liquori Tate, 25, during a traffic stop in Hattiesburg.
"2 police officers was shot in hattiesburg tonight…GOT EM," read the post, which also included a crying-laughing emoticon and a gun emoji.
"They took it the wrong way," McCurdy said, as she explained that her comment referred to the suspects, not the cops, and that she intended to use the crying emoticon instead. Three men and a woman were quickly arrested and charged in the shooting....

She would have the MSM camped outside her door, she’d be fired from her job and Al Sharpton would be onsite while Obama would be on TV talking about the poor choice of words whitey made about the black cops. Curious how so many people got together and expressed enough outrage to get her fired but hardly a peep when this bug posing as our President speaks with the same agenda.

It wasn’t so much people getting together I think, as it was an obvious PR disaster in the making so Subway fired first and will sort out the inevitable racial suits later... in an effort to lose the least amount of cash.

Hey, Goebbels was held responsible. I agree. CBS, CNN, ABC and NBC propaganda pieces are at least partially responsible for the deaths of police, assaults on whites, and even murder of Christians in the middle east.
They caused it with incitement. They actively wound ferals up to get ratings on the reported stories coming from the result of their incitement. Every one of them that took part in the production or print/web/broadcast of the stories in question should be tried as an instigator or accessory.
Sorry, Norm,...the MSM needs to be the second target. The first is judges and lawyers. None should exist, post war. Just me;-)
