Prayer - Islam prescribes five daily prayers in the morning, noon, afternoon, evening, and at night. The noon and afternoon prayers usually fall during work hours. Could it be that the Barbary pirates were provoked by our Founding Fathers' disrespectful, impertinent defining of justice? Only Allah can do that; to wit,

I rememeber W.W.II and I honestly think that it will eventually come to something like this. BTW I yanked a few chains with this opinion.

Though I'm adding here that American Muslims do criticize ISIS but so do Arab countries -- howwver this "provoking" devout Muslim Islamists (never mind Islamist radicals) is getting very, very old.

Sept 11, 2001 was the time to act domestically. There was action but it was a rush to protect the "religion of peace."

I say again I believe that there is a difference between Muslims and Islamists.

So as the Islamists here in the U.S. continue their attacks there's going to be a point where public outrage takes over.

It is time to talk about the difference between relocate and intern. This need not be a concern if the Muslims would stand up by the millions as the Turks have done to protest Erdogan and his Islamists AK Party. But.. alas..

Because of Japan’s successful surprise attack on Pearl Harbor, many . . . felt that the United State’s entire western coast was at risk of invasion. Communities and concentrated areas of people with Japanese ancestry were suddenly considered security risks even though no acts of sabotage or treason had taken place. [IIRC there was also concern for the safety of the Americans of Japanese descent.]

True story: While working in Saudi my co-worker and I visited one of the many malls. My friend went to use the men's room and relieved himself in what looked like a large urinal, positioned a little lower than most Americans are accustomed to. While at the trough doing his business, a local walked in, and when he saw what my friend was doing his eyes bulged in dis-belief and it looked like his head was about to explode. He started screaming in arabic at my friend and quickly ran off to summon the mutawah. I noticed he was moving quickly as he came out and suggested that we beat a retreat out of the mall before they found him.
