A clear and timely message to Baltimore, Maryland from Garland, Texas last night: police officers, risking their lives to do their jobs, keep civilian society safe.
Proven countless times and now once again: Civilian lives are safer, thanks to thousands of police forces across America, whose intent is ‘To Serve and Protect’.

Small correction to the article: only Sunni Islam forbids depictions of Mohammed (and generally enforces absolute aniconism — no pictorial art at all). There are illustrated biographies of Mohammed published by the Shia of Persia (now Iran). In fact, the self-portrait-painting Mohammad of Geller’s publicity posters is based on an one of the more famous Shi’ite depictions of Mohammed.

I don’t believe that anyone is trying to force Muslims to draw pictures of their “prophet”. However, they don’t get to make the rules for the rest of us. If they don’t like the drawings then don’t look at them, right? That’s what we are told to do if we don’t like a certain show on tv, etc. Suck it up all you professional forever offended whiners.
In January 17,2015, and the same public school center, there was a “Stand with the Prophet” rally by Muslims supporters Al-Qaida and Isis organized by one of the terrorists implicate in the bombing of the garage of the NY World Trade Center in 2003. I wonder if those who try to blame the organizers of the art competition for the Muslim terrorist attack would have justified if some patriotic American had irrupted in Muslim rally on January 2015 and made a massacre of Islamic terrorists.

There were about 4-5 thousand protesters there in January and not one took a shot at anybody.
How many pro-Muslim protesters were at that same facility last night?

I would advise all uniformed security personnel to arm themselves and wear body armor. Wearing that uniform makes you a target to the crazies. Err on the side of caution.
