Hmm, can’t believe they didn’t mention the Belgian Malinois. We’ve owned a couple of German Shepherds and one Belgian Malinois. I know that’s not a very large sample size, but our German Shepherds were very smart and the Malinois is at least their equal. The police and military wouldn’t use them if they weren’t one of the smartest dogs out there... So here’s a vote for the Belgian Malinois!

I love GSD and Malinois dogs. We are on our second shepherd. She is 9, acts 2 and very intelligent.

The Belgian Shepherds are all very intelligent breeds. Here is our old Belgian Tervuren Larson. I miss him.
