I’ve had about all the greenies I can take.

They want to tear out all the dams to “keep the river natural” and then they want to cut all the trees that have naturally fallen in the river so they don’t have to climb over them when they’re kayaking.

They’ve been opposed to repowering two dams on the Huron River in Ann Arbor for years till they decided that they would be OK with it as long as “natural” whitewater features were included.

The DNR told them they wouldn’t approve it because there was never any natural whitewater feature there so now the greenies are back to opposing repowering the dams.

Back when I was a Boy Scout traipsing around the Sierras, the Sierra Club promoted people visiting the great outdoors while teaching responsible stewardship.

My, how things have changed.

Only the elite should visit our forests now, which MUST be left alone entirely. Responsible stewardship be damned. So what if forest fires ravage everything now and then...
