Limousine Liberals & the Toll of Statism
Self | 3/29/15 | Me

Posted on 03/29/2015 10:26:52 AM PDT by xuberalles

Nothing entertains me more than Limousine Liberals the likes of Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and Elizabeth Warren who religiously decry income inequality - pardoning celebrity donors of course - only to discredit those quintessential American ideals that create independence and wealth: self-reliance, hard work, commerce, innovation, and competition. And yet it is these universal necessities of a strong and robust economy that progressives suffocate with endless regulation and taxation in order to erect a socialist utopia defined by dependence and division. Inciting voters by demonizing those more fortunate, those who toiled for their blessings, is absurd when you’re the one strangling opportunity and blackmailing accountability with the conditional promise of a menial government check; as if people, the ones you supposedly represent, are capable of (or want) nothing more. Exactly when did "enabling" become "empowering" and a job a Right Wing conspiracy?

It is not capitalism or “white privilege” that has kept millions struggling to make ends meet, for poverty knows no bounds, but rather an engineered sense of entitlement by progressives that has fostered 18 trillion in debt, doubled the nation’s welfare recipients, and justified failure by using class and race welfare to deflect from the left’s radical agenda and countless abuses. With nearly one-third of all Americans out of the workforce, a staggering 13 million dropping out of the unemployment equation since 2008, the economy is now on par with Jimmy Carter's ineptitude and the second worst since the Great Depression. It appears the road to poverty and your two million dollar mansion, Senator Warren, was paved by socialists after all. Just remember it was the tax dollars from “private business” that paid for it! You’re welcome.

Centuries of immigrants from across the globe didn't flock to our shores with nothing but the clothes on their back because capitalism is a broken, oppressive system that conspires to subdue the ambitions of the common man. Hardly. They came to America because free enterprise, liberty, represented the last, best hope to fulfill their dreams, provide for their families, and to escape the insatiable clutches of government tyranny. No one fights to crawl beneath the glass ceiling of socialism or to be shackled by the iron fist of communism. They risk life and limb to escape those dictorial dregs of statism who demand their subjugation, the fruit of their labor, above all else.

America wasn’t built upon envy and excuses, EBT cards and abortion rallies. And it sure as hell wasn’t erected by punishing the industrious and politicizing success. It was built by the community of capitalism; that most synonymous with individual liberty, an undying work ethic and upward mobility. It was built by those who had nothing, were promised nothing, and who knew it was incumbent upon themselves to forge a better tomorrow. These pioneers valued the gift of opportunity without prejudice; something we now sorely take for granted.

Yes, life is unfair, unpredictable and there are no guarantees of equal outcomes. Welcome to the real world. There is also no shame in needing help time to time…we all do. Americans are a compassionate and generous people. However, for those of able body and mind who bemoan inequality yet do nothing to change their prospects in life, no one owes you a damn thing: not your neighbor, not Wall Street, not your elected government. Pandering is not a career and self-inflicted poverty is not an injustice. To not know a hard day’s work, the true cost of earning a living, is a crime in itself. And it’s been a long time since anyone has seen Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and Elizabeth Warren do an honest, earnest, hard day’s work.

“....Welcome to the real world....”

The real world does not serve the liberal political agenda which is to BUY VOTES AND POWER. Liberals are NOT compassionate people — they are power-mongering, socialists-of-convenience. Just look at the hard, real facts. They now represent the ORWELLIAN opposite of America.

Really nice. I’d think I was in heaven if I could read this in a major newspaper.

I have a strand of hope that someone like Ted Cruz would say this in a speech.

Very well said.

One of America’s biggest problems is our media is being run and is badly infected with these kind of people, associate with their own kind, and have no sense of what they believe damages the American people in the real world.

The American people need to start fight back against our corrupt media and their supporters. Their statist agenda has failed the American people and they and their supporters are the only ones who haven’t seen it because it has become such a belief system for them to the point of fanaticism.

Fighting back by pointing out their failures, including the massive debt they’ve helped to incur, that threatens our very existence, needs to be pointed out often and in every debate with a statist liberal/progressive. They really have no answer but to continue to tax and spend us in to oblivion or, like a child, play the blame game.

Thank you and I agree. We need to stop being politically correct and start holding people accountability for their corruption and idiotic propaganda.
