Et Tu, GOP? The Spineless Spinning of the Gutless Old Party

The GOP and Karl Rove may find it advantageous to label Republican defectors as Tea Party extremists, i.e., Glenn Beck, Mark Levin, and Rush Limbaugh, but they cannot escape the fact they have systematically abandoned the ideals that defined conservatism since America’s inception: liberty, faith, low taxes, private enterprise, fiscal responsibility, government transparency, separation of powers, national security, and duty. If the GOP establishment wants to wage war on anyone they should begin by indicting themselves for treason and dereliction of duty. Time and again the once proud party of Ronald Reagan has capitulated on the deficit, entitlement reform, immigration, border security, executive unilateralism, and federal overreach. The Republican elite have even sat idly by as our most decorated officers have been purged from the military, their careers destroyed, and Christianity disparaged in nearly every facet of our society. Is there any greater crime than abandoning those who dedicated their lives to protecting ours and preserving our way of life? It’s equally disturbing this new-found hierarchy of heresy is far more content compromising with the most radical and abusive administration in American history – an inane scheme to win future elections by becoming more like subversive and soulless Democrats – than standing up for their party members, the Constitution, and the very survival of this republic.

The problem isn’t the Right Wing, the Tea Party or conservatism itself. The problem is the GOP conveniently forgot America was forged on timeless conservative principles that made it the most affluent, innovative and respected nation in the world. Whereas the Grand Old Party once stood for individual rights, limited government, opportunity, accountability, and the rule of law, they now only speak of such “antiquated” devices to cajole party faithful come election time. The good news is, unlike the carefully choreographed candidacies of John McCain and Mitt Romney, their ridiculous blueprint for political evolution will summarily be rejected in 2016. Ted Cruz, Scott Walker, Dr. Ben Carson and Rand Paul will all embody a stark and competent contrast to the retreat and repeat politics of moderate Republicans like Jeb Bush, Peter King, Mitch McConnell and John Boehner. In other words, don’t call conservatives “radicals” because you cannot articulate the difference between right and wrong, progress and progressivism, conservatism and extremism. Call yourselves spineless whores for selling out your own brethren to a divisive and destructive ideology solely to garner power and privilege, rather than reminding the electorate some values, some blessings, far exceed the pocket change of propaganda.

Instead of offering an alternative to DemocRats, they just offer a slightly less poisonous version of their policies. The DemocRats constantly move the country to the left. When was the last time ANY Rat policy or tax was permanently reversed? When RR was president 30 years ago?
