The UN called it “climate change” all the way back in 1988. The IPCC was never the IPGW.
I find liberals (especially in the media) like to yell, “climate change” when they want to change the subject.
IRS targeting discussion leads to a discussion about .... climate change.
Discussions of ISIS lead to .......... climate change.
Benghazi .... climate change.
Fast and Furious ........ climate change.
$18 trillion in debt ........ climate change.
Illegals ........ climate change.
Beheadings ......... climate change.
“Liberals invent terms to control the argument.”
It’s thrust and parry all the way down.
Remember when anti-abortion morphed into pro-life?
Then pro-abortion became pro-choice.
Propagandists choose the words that put the best light on their cause be they left or right of center. News reporting would be a lot more objective if editors forbade the use of adjectives.
Actually, it’s their brains that are their silly putty.

Climate Change is the ridiculous, unscientific Putty of Leftists.
Less people are believing it daily.
Only a loon would still promote this lie.
Proof:
Bill Nye and Al Gore are STILL trying to get the young and the feeble minded to believe it.
Regardless, it’s their new mantra.
“We must stop climate change,” said Democratic State Sen. Marc Pacheco pursuant to a rally at Yale against fossil fuels, cancelled for the cold weather. Say what? Have these peoople lost their marbles? I think of the legend of King Canute ordering the ocean tide not to roll in.
Yes; they have absolutely doubled down on it.
I remember assaholic lectures about global warming all through the 90s.
sparklite4, nice post. And to underscore your point, there’s an old French proverb: “The adjective is the enemy of the noun.”
Thanks. And for would-be writers out there,
avoid adverbs. If you have to use an adverb
it usually means your verb is not strong enough.
Punch up the verb, drop the adverb, and you’ll
have a stronger, more concise sentence.
In future, the line will read: climate change was reborn. :-)
Flinging a dart on the wall and then drawing a target around it.
Regarding so-called climate change global warming, even if global warming was as bad as global warming alarmists want everybody to believe, it remains that the states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate, tax and spend for global warming purposes.
In fact, the Supreme Court has clarified that Congress is prohibited from appropriating taxes for anything that it cannot justify under its Constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers, so-called global warming remedies not among those powers.
Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States. Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
The major constitutional problem with federal funding of global warming issues, imo, is that the corrupt federal Senate is not doing its job to kill House appropriations bills that provide unconstitutional funding in the name of global warming. So such funding is just another item to add to the growing list of reasons to repeal the 17th Amendment.
I found it more pathetic than funny. I consider the tales of “Pecos Bill” to be more credible and vastly more inspiring.
The real tragedy in this charade is the damage to the scientific community as a whole. These people are like the boy who cried wolf. One of these days, they may be right about something, but no one is going to listen to them.
NYFreeper, Excellent point. Science and government have partnered for many years. Good scientists have been co-opted and corrupted by that affiliation, to be sure, but in this global warming scam, the scope and depth of corruption of science is mind boggling.
